I had read a lot of the history of the Nanjing Massacre before hand and this place made it all come alive. I was glad I had not come with a tour group so I could wander along at my own pace. It is very near a metro station, so public transport is easy. I came twice, two days apart because each time the impact was too strong to stay a long time. Two sessions of an hour or so each were easier to bear.
The explanations were clear and pretty well balanced. No admission fee. Closed on Mondays.
