We popped into Bulldogs for a quick drink before heading back to the hotel to freshen up. Weather was humid but warm and the sky was threatening to send us a shower. We realised that even if it did rain, it wouldn't be torrential so we decided to sit outside in the breeze. (There were other people seated outside too and not a single soul inside …)
Our waitress insisted that we sat inside as she was SURE it was going to rain and her make-up and false eye-lashes would more than likely be washed off. She even feigned a drop of two on her smooth forehead to emphasize the point! Anyhow, we acquiesced and moved inside.
My fiancé ordered a beer and, being quite thirsty, I ordered a Green Apple Juice – which I expected to arrive in a fairly tall glass. I was hugely disappointed when my drink came in a red wine glass that was only half full.
Quite expensive, no smiles and basically no service made this an experience not to repeat – ever. The bill for those two items came to 90 hk$ plus 9 hk$ for the inclusive service fee. Not good value at all. Thank heaven we didn’t eat there too.
