“tasteless food”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2012

The cumumber in vinegar taste bad. you could hardly find chicken strips in the chicken and glass noodle. The dumplings are terrible, the pork inside taste only of soy sauce, not meat. The restaurant smells .

“The best dumplings you'll ever eat!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2012

You absolutely MUST go to Wang Fu for dumplings when you visit Hong Kong. Head to the Mid-Levels area, take a ride on the escalator, and head to this little dumpling shop for lunch. You won't be disappointed. If the pork and pea shoot dumplings are in season, you're in for a real treat. You will likely be the only tourists in the restaurant, too. Then, you can spend the afternoon browsing on Hollywood Road.

“favorite dive”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2009

This place is not pretty, but its authentic honest-to-goodness northern Chinese cuisine, at a fabulous price (for Central Hong Kong). There are two shops, on the same block, one a dumpling house, the other a restaurant (but also very casual). The dumpling skins are too soft for a true Beijinger, but the taste and all the other food is great, in both places.

Just avoid the Cantonese dishes made for locals who can't stand to eat any cuisine but their own.
