“Best Noodle So Far”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 29, 2012

Stayed across the street from this place for a month and wondered what could compel so many people to stand on line for noodles... until I tried it. Forget about fish balls or any other kind of noodle dish you find at every other noodle shop in HK - this is the place for beef brisket. I ate there about a dozen times and was never disappointed. Communal tables, crowded, noisy and delicious. One of my favorite places in HK.

“Kau Kee Restaurant”

Very tasty beef brisket in broth. Worth to queue. HK$34 per pax minimum spending. A pity we went a litte late and flat rice noodles were sold out; we settled with flat egg noodles (mee pok) & vermicelli (bee hoon)

“Essential eating experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2012

Don't miss Kau Kee. Wait in line to share a table with some combination of locals and tourists. Delicious soup with brisket, your choice of noodles and broth. Instant service when seated. No formality. No dallying. Noisy. Pay extra if you need a napkin. Eat and move along. We loved it. This is a restaurant that can't be forgotten.

“the beef noodle soup is for real!!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2012

probably the richest beef noodle soup i've had in terms of flavor...beefy, tasty, meaty and succulent meat in a very aromatic beef flavor. Make sure you order a bowl with noodles bec the upper part of the menu is soup and meat only. the place is small but is located on a narrow quaint road with some very interesting shops. bottom line, very very good beef noodle soup!
