“Cool and comfy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2012

Had fun trying the escalator, even though we chose to use the stairs as well. Been cool trying it, and the area up the hills gives you the whole world on a plate. A lot of eateries and bars for every taste and country. The escalator is very useful as well, since walking is what you for sure do a lot in Hong Kong. Must tell I didnt mind any help with resting my feet now and then... Quite comfy actually. Escalators are tourist friendly!
Ps. Remember to pay a visit to Hollywood Road a long the way. This area/road is presenting a lot of great antiques from different centuries. Beautyful items, paintings, jewelery, vases, furnitures, opium pipes, chinese lady shoes, lions ad dragons. I nearly cried of joy just to see this. Like a privat museum, and the owners welcomes you in, even if you are honest about just looking.

“Interesting and helpful too”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2012

We figured we had to "see" the longest escalator in the world. But rather than just seeing it, we did find it to be useful too. A week in Hong Kong with lots and lots of walking to get everywhere, we ended up using the Mid-levels escalator to get from Central up to Hollywood Rd area a few times. Every now and then it was nice to be able to take a breather.
Many exits along the way to get you where you need to go. Like everything else in Hong Kong, everything was well marked along the way.

“Up!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2012

One of those attractions that you look back at your 3 days in HK and am glad to have done it. Charming way of exploring the high rise buildings and interesting cares/ concepts along the way. Should do it once when you are around the area!

“Worlds longest escalator”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2012

It isn't all escalator but with short walkways between the escalators but the journey up allows you to see down on different streets and buildings. Some excellent pics of older HK can be taken from the escalator but also the walk down through streets to places like Cat Street add the the value of the trip.

It also takes you through Soho where there are many cafes bars and restaurants

“Enjoy anytime - great for transport or seeing the city and finding somewhere to eat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

very convenient for getting to Mid Levels area. Also if you want to find somewhere to eat, go up, get off where the area looks great and find something good.
