“Sophisticated and elegant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012

We stayed for a week and thought the hotel was really pleasant. We were upgraded which might have helped and had a lovely room on 16th floor overlooking the stadium. The room was bright and clean as was the bathroom. Reading other reviews here might be worth saying that our bathroom did not have a see-through door! The room well equipped with a small hob, microwave and kettle so we could make tea, coffee and a snack easily. It also had a DVD player, Cable TV, ipod speakers etc a comfortable bed and an ironing board with iron.

The staff were lovely, friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. We had no problem taking breakfast in the lounge - it gave us a relaxed start to the day. The food was perfectly adequate continental breakfast with decent coffee. The lounge and library area were good to relax in. Should be a good place to meet business colleagues; a meeting room is on offer which was in use for several of the days we were there.

The area is an upmarket part of Causeway Bay, though Leighton Road is a bit of a backwater but its just a step to Lee garden Shopping Mall, the MTR station and a bit further to Times Square. After a hectic day it was a delightful place to return to every evening. It seemed to help the taxi drivers to give them the address of the hotel.

Room Tip: Probably worth paying extra for a bigger room

Stayed here for 5 days for business last week. Staff was courteous and attentive. Very fast on any request. Close to MRT and Causewaybay shops. Breakfast at hotel not so great, various breakfast restaurants in the area so no need to worry. There is a high level of people traffic in the area as the Indonesian consulate is across the street. In general a nice pleasant stay.

I thought this hotel was fine for the most part. The biggest downside was the area. Not very convenient to the MKR (metro system) and tucked away on a not so obvious side street. The breakfast was also a bit of a let down, but the room was adequate enough and the hotel did offer the basic amenities for business travelers.

Stayed here for a weekend (3 nights) in November 2012.

Took a cab to the hotel. Our taxi driver didn't know how to find it so he dropped us off near Times Square and we walked around for about 15-20 minutes until we found Leighton Rd and the hotel.

First impressions of the hotel -- really nice exterior stone detailing. Ground floor is concierge and a small courtyard with tables. Went up to 1st floor for check-in. Was suprised to be upgraded to a Deluxe room and free wifi!!! Staff was really great and everyone spoke good English.

LOCATION: Location turned out to be really good. Once you know your way to Times Square (passing by Lee Garden mall) it is really a nice walk. About 8-10 minutes walk from hotel to Times Square/SOGO. The shops around Lee Garden mall are all top-end designer brands, (Cartier, Gucci, Miu Miu, etc.) so if you aren't looking for that type of stuff then you can only enjoy the window displays =\
There is also a 7-Eleven, a fruit stall and some small eateries (froyo, pizza, ramen joint, burger joint) across the street from the hotel.

ROOM: We got upgraded to a Deluxe room. View was across to another building and part of the street, nothing great. Had a little kitchenette, couch and computer desk. Room was clean, smelled good. Only problem was that the carpets could use some cleaning. Bathroom was clean and the products they have are really good. (can't remember the brand name but the mrs. swiped a couple to take home)

SERVICE: Didn't have the breakfast so can't comment on the food or service there. The concierge was really spot-on though. ALWAYS smiling, even if we came back at 1 AM. Asked them for some good cha siu and they recommended a nice place near Lee Garden mall. They always translated our location into Cantonese to tell the taxi drivers. 5 stars for sure. Gym is 24 hours and is also quite nice.

Overall: Lanson Place HK really delivered. A great location, close by the Times Square/SOGO action yet quiet enough away from the bright lights. Great staff & amenities but carpets could use some cleaning and a bit tough to locate.

I only stayed for one night this trip, but almost wished that the trip was longer because the hotel was so nice! Very centrally located, and the rooms are great. There's a welcome basket with cookies and fruit juice and theres a hob a microwave in case you want to do some cooking of your own. The room had a little separate sitting area, which was nice. The bed was very comfy. I loved the toiletries provided as well. Will definitely come back here the next time I come to Hong Kong!

We have stayed here on two separate occasions and we left each time feeling like we should have stayed longer. The hotel is located in Causeway Bay, which is a great neighbourhood to soak up the best of HK: shopping and food. Also, we have always preferred staying on HK Island over Kowloon as it is less hectic on this side. It is a stone's throw away from the MTR station, which was really convenient since much of what to do in HK is located along the MTR lines. There was nothing we could fault with the room. Whilst it wasn't spacious, it was of a decent size (taking into consideration that rooms are traditionally pint sized in HK). The bed was very comfortable, the room was clean and we also enjoyed the complimentary pastries which they had thoughtfully left in the room as a welcome gesture. We will most definitely return again when we are next in HK on business.

This Hotel is classy, you can tell by the room, its amenities, and its features that it is classy. The checking in was a bit slow, as there were few staff. The concierge was great and helpful, especially since there is not many taxi waiting as it has no driveway to hotel. Bed is great with microwave and induction cooker available in mini kitchen. The room is like a mini suite, bot that big though. The hotel is close to shopping area, but there are few stores near the surroundings, takes about 5 minute walk. Breakfast was inclusive, but simple as compared other hotel.
