“Convenient for business trip”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2014

The hotel is ideally located beside the MRT in Wan Chai.
Yes the rooms are a bit small but at that price you cannot complain, you are in Hong Kong.
The room was clean and quiet, you can still open your suitcase.
Nothing more nothing less.
Wifi was properly working and good thing is, due to the location, near the so called red light district, you need the access card for the lift, good point! and honestly, no noise from the street... Few local eateries nearby. and western food as well.
Honestly the so called red light district is composed from only few bars, where hostess asked you for a drink but don't bother you...

Very clean hotel but very small rooms. Also the elevators only two and small if you have two suitcases can have room for 2 more people. The reception is on the 3rd floor the well come you with a smile and willing to help
Again the only problem is the tiny rooms. Bathrooms are good and clean and good size.
Location is good

Room Tip: Rooms are small but very clean try the 18 floor it is little better

Arriving by taxi in the early hours of the morning the Brighton signage was not easy to find in amongst all the surrounding signage clutter of the red light area.Check in was quick and good .The room I was in was clean ,tidy ,modern but oh so tiny. With a double bed it is intended for a couple .I was a solo and travel light but a couple with two normal suitcases would struggle especially after some unpacking.
The location was convenient and security to lift and room by unique room swipe card. There was little noise and a comfortable bed. There is no in house dining room but has two unrelated restaurants on floors 1 &2 but many street level food outlets nearby.

Room Tip: Carefully check their website photos for the room size before booking a particular room

The good:

Great location on Lockhart Road in WanChai, can walk to everything there.

The hotel is relatively new so it's in good condition. The bathrooms are very nice, decent towels and plenty of hot water. The air-con worked well.

The BAD:

The rooms are TINY. They say 14 sq mtrs I would say that might be a stretch. There is barely room to move around the bed. The space for the "desk" is very limited. There really is nowhere to sit other than the bed.

It's OK for a very short stay. Doubt I will go back.

It is strategically located in the commercial center of Wanchai and is just a few meters away from Wan Chai MTR station and Hongkong Convention and Exhibition Center for my business meetings. The hotel was small but clean and nice, same as the bathroom. It was also quite at night so I had a restful night. There was no breakfast but there are several mall restaurants outside the hotel. There are also several bars and nightclubs that are open from 6pm until dawn.I wouldn't recommend this as a place to stay for families with kids or for women only guests because of the bars and clubs.

Room Tip: Quite ok for a one night stay

The hotel was very clean and felt new - I felt really comfortable during my stay here. It is right next to the Wan Chai station so it was very convenient to use public transportation. The rooms are indeed small but that is expected in HK. The bathroom/shower was modern and nice. No complaints about the room. Also, there are two restaurants that you can access through the hotel elevators which was convenient.

I was nervous about staying at this hotel because of it being in the "red light district" but everything turned out fine. There are strip clubs/strippers/prostitutes(?) directly across the street from the hotel but you can easily ignore it and avoid walking near that area. Nobody came up to us or anything. If you are a person that is easily bothered by things like that, I would not book a room here because all that adult action is literally right near the hotel.

I was really surprised by the size of my room. For a HK hotel, my room and bathroom were huge. Good price for a good location. Only draw back was the piles of dirty linen outside my room as it seem to be the housekeeping floor. At 7am when the housekeeping staff comes on duty, it can be noisy.
