The restaurant is set in the middle of a very large industrial area. Surprising for a restaurant of this quality! It’s easy to find, situated a few minutes walk from the excellent MTR
It is a small place, with modern decor and in no way "cosy".
We chose a set menu with 3 (I think) starters, a main and a desert.
Prior to each course being served, a very knowledgeable member of staff who explained the contents of the dish and the flavours we would experience introduced the course. She was VERY good.
I can only describe the food as a taste sensation. All the dishes were very well presented and had their own unique flavour.
So what didn't we like?
On the menu we chose, the beef was an EXTRA $350, which was unjustified.
When the main course arrived the beef was served a couple of minutes before the cod - NOT acceptable in a place like this. And it was not hot.
A minor complaint, but the sauce that the cod was cooked in was too strong for the delicate flavour of this fish.
Bread was tough!
We wanted tap water, BUT IT WAS AVAILABLE - very wrong.
Wine prices were high.
Mostly the staff were good, but a couple of the senior men present seemed too important to attend to our needs. I wonder what they were there for?
After these comments, I am still pleased that I went and my overall impression was good. It is expensive. Be warned!
