“A Hiking Trail for Anyone who loves a VIEW”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 13, 2014 via mobile

When you know how to get there, the view is mind blowing. Only takes half an hour since bus stop to reach the first of many views, simply breath taking, and the hike difficulty is only moderate, so choose appropriate day snd make it happen.

“perfect escape from the city”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2014

have been to Hong Kong for a few times but never did have the chance to go to Dragon's Back. finally went on the recent trip, and it was really fun! got to see Hong Kong from a different perspective. the hike took about 1.5hours to the Peak of Dragon Back (We stopped along the way to take many photos) and you have the option of ending the hike by going down or continuing the hike toto Big Wave Beach (which we did), and the distance was about 8km in total. it was really windy too, so the hike was enjoyable. if you have the time and want to see a different side of Hong Kong, do head to Dragon's Back!

“Great Day Trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2014

This was a great trail, with gorgeous views, and an easy-moderate climb. One of my favorite parts of the trail, was that it ends at a beach! It took us (young adults) 2 hours to hike the entire trail and then we spent the day at the beach. The one downfall was that we went during the Chinese New Years and there were many busloads of people also hiking that same day. However, most people didn't mind us going around them on the trail and we were then able to attain a more peaceful experience as we hiked. I would highly recommend this trip.

“Great family hike”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2014 via mobile

Dragon's Back is a great family hike for a sunny Sunday. You will enjoy arriving at Big Wave beach or Shek O and have good lunch in one of the nice restaurants there.

“Hong Kong Hikes”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2014

I love this hike. We get a cab there from Mid Levels. It cost about HKD120. Most cabbies know where the start of the hike is. The beginning of the hike is the most difficult but I would say on a scale of 1 - 5 this hike is a 2 so not overly strenuous at all. The views from the ridge are awesome. The Shek O Golf Course looks so beautiful and the outer Island add to the vista. We always reward ourselves by continuing the walk into Shek O and having lunch at the Thai and Chinese restaurant on the left hand side of the roundabout. It's a great day out. Highly recommend it.
