“Great location, nice rooms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2012

Great hotel. Polite and helpful staff. Nice rooms. The harbour view rooms are lovely. It is well worth the little extra cost to take a harbour view room. You see all of Victoria harbour - the star ferry leaving Central and arriving in Tsim Sha Tsui. The lights are lovely at night. The other rooms look out on office buildings which is better than some other hotels I walked by which looked out on to the rear of old residential buildings. The bathroom is small but modern & spotless which makes it rather cute. Breakfast is good with plenty of Western & Chinese dishes. The location is excellent. Next door to the convention centre & grand hyatt on a quiet and uncrowded but safe road which gives you welcome peace from the hustle and bustle of the other touristy parts of Hong Kong. Wan chai station as well as restaurants & nightlife are a 15 min walk. Victoria peak & Central piers are a 25 mins walk or short cab ride away. The only annoying part was that internet access is not free in the rooms. However, free wifi is available on the mezzanine floor. The lobby is small and during busy periods it was full of tired looking people hanging around waiting to check in.

Room Tip: Harbour view rooms on a higher floor are well worth it

Stayed 4 nights at the end of an Asia trip. Hong Kong is bustling and busy and to come back to a clean, quiet and dark room that is in an excellent location was perfect. Rooms are a good size for HK. Bed is ROCK hard but clean. Deal direct with the hotel after shopping around for prices. I got a terrific deal and would stay here again.
Lots of great places to eat close by.

Public transport is excellent.

If we were in the room at 8pm we had a terrific view of the laser light show over the Victoria Harbour each evening. Ask for a high floor and Harbour view. We had 2018 and it was terrific.
Travelled as a couple.

Booked a harbour view room and stayed for 3 nights in April. Most helpful staff, and rooms a little small even for Hong Kong. However, the breakfast was better than average, rooms very clean and you are close to all activities whilst not actually being in Central. Very close to MTR and Airport Express. Overall great experience.

Room Tip: When getting a taxi always state the Hotels name and make certain the address is mentioned as this H...

I am now sitting in the Harbourview, overlooking Hong Kong Harbor. We arrived two days ago, about four hours early from China, and were immediately put into our rooms early with no extra charge.

The Harbourview is high class, well staffed and located in a great location...across the street from the Convention Center in Wan Chai.

The only drawback is the massive construction, which makes getting around a little difficult, but that is not the fault of this hotel.

Room Tip: If you can get it....ask for a harbor facing room....

We were surprised how small the room was. We booked a double bed and got a room with two single beds pushed together with the mattress seams in the middle, not very comfortable but after referring this to a deputy manager we were moved to a bigger room with a good view of HK. The location is good, close to Wanchai metro station. The bar in this hotel was empty and totally devoid of any atmosphere when we went in for a drink so we left and went to a bar outside the hotel. The concierge was not very knowledgeable and sent us in the wrong direction a couple of times when we asked for the location of a specific place. The price for this hotel was far too much for what it offers.

If you are on a budget but want to stay on the island try this hotel.
It is close to MTR,Exhibition and convention center, and the nightspots of Wanchai.
Rooms are small(as are most in HK) but have everything you need.
Small fitness centre.Good concierge.

Room Tip: Get a room with harbour view

It's really not too far from wan chai mrt. Walkable within 10-15 mins walk. Lots of shops and restaurants. Buzzling district and safe at night. Enjoyed my stay there thoroughly. Clean toilets, not big but reasonable sz for hk std..i have seen smaller. Surprised the room is actually quite spacious. Bed is comfortable and the room is cleaned everyday. Good value!
