“Absolutely Fabulous”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

Just like the photos. Our room was excellent, the service was the best. The swimming pool and spa facilities were awesome, out of this world. We stayed in a club room, slightly more expensive than an ordinary room, but we enjoy the extra amenities provided. Would stay again if coming back to HongKong.

Most of the common area's especially the lobby is great in terms of design, ambiance etc. once you get out of the elevator on your way to the hotel rooms you'll be greeted by mirrored ceiling hallways. We missed our room which happens to be close to the lift and went all the way down the hallway. We felt sick afterwards. It was something with the mirrored low ceiling, around 2.1m height.

Once we got in the room, there is some weird smell everytime we enter. We thought it was a smoking room in the beginning not know that it is a non-smoking hotel, which is a plus ;) Not sure what the smell is, but pretty common with Hong Kong boutique hotel's, mostly because they used to be an old building, either residential or hotel, in the case of mira the latter, still an old building, just refurbished. Another problem with old buildings, the noise, you hear people talking next door and people walking on hallways.

Next, the room we got is a PWD room. I didn't know that the front desk will give us such room, very low lavatory when I already have a very bad low back pain. I was only informed/asked if I don't mind a room without a tub, which is fine. But wasn't informed the it's a PWD room.

Overall, the hotel's location is fantastic if you are up for shopping. It's about 15mins walking distance to the Harbour City. Huge shopping complex in TST. Even the hotel itself has a mall, and the area has loads of restaurants too. Also, location to the MTR station is the best, as it is one of the closest exit in TST station.

I spent one night at the Mira hotel in Kowloon, Nathan road. I had high expectations due to previous reviews in TripAdvisor and since my work often takes me to Kimberley Road I have often walked past the location.

Again, on a short business trip to Hong Kong I decided to stay the night at Mira hotel. Upon arrival during the afternoon no doormen were available, check-in took ridicillously long and all three people at the reception were serving other guests with no acknowledgement of new guests (including me) arriving to the lobby. The lobby was hip indeed, but also very dark and rather noisy.

Same interior design continued in my hotel room, with very dark hallways, with room number written to the doors with similar design. I am 44 years old, with decent eyesight and I had problems finding my room number from door frame. But then again, taste is obviously rather individual and intimate option, so the interior design and my taste just did not meet.

My room was decent size, considering the fact that this is Hong Kong, view from my basic room was rather "typical" to incredibly depressing alleyway and the wireless was free. Everything worked in the room, light switches were easy to find, water pressure decent and enough closet space. So no complaints, but nothing special either.

The location of the hotel is very convenient if you want to explore Nathan road, the Night Market (Temple street), Kowloon park and many other Kowloon side sights. And majority of pretty much everything in Hong Kong is within 30 minutes taxi/mtr ride anyhow, so you should be fine. Nearest MTR station is just a few blocks away and there are plenty of texis for Kowloon side traffic availalable on steady basis. Also, a number of nice, decent size mall are very close by (across the street and one around the corner.

No thrills, no wow experiences, a few minor disappointments. Would not stay in the hotel again, since there are plenty of better hotels available with similar rate in Hong Kong.

Super cool hotel with very stylish room and lobby. Room with iphone dock and speakers in the bathroom so you can hear music from playing from iphone. Hotel location is near Tsimtsatsui, good for shopping. Everything was well designed and really nice. Well recommended!

I am currently at the MIRA. Its a lovely design, boutique hotel. Fantastic design, friendly & efficient staff, awesome location, most wonderful rooms. Then why "almost"? Well they charged me a wee bit on an upgrade due to some booking error from my end. I had to upgrade from studio to park view (which is wonderful) due to twin sharing. I had no option, but to pay. I would have loved it if they had been gracious enough to make it complimentary or charged me for 2 instead of 4 nights, just the upgrade value or thrown in a breakfast, complimentary. The OTHER little dissatisfaction is due to a dull, soul less and pressure less shower. Showers have to strong and powerful when one is paying almost US$ 300 a night. I hope they fix these things and remove the "almost" from my headline.

Room Tip: if a strong pressure shower is your kink, avoid this hotel.

This is quite a groovy hotel in a very convenient location in Tsim Sha Tsui right on Nathan Road. The MTR is 2mins away and even for business trips, door to door to most locations in Central on Hong Kong Island is only about 15mins. Rooms are on the small side but you don't go to HK to spend much time in the hotel. Tall visitors will need to be careful waking in the hallways but the rooms themselves are fine. Buffet breakfast is good without it being first class but that reflects the slightly cheaper rates. The gym is cool and for jiggers Kowloon Park is literally across the road. It's been a year since I last visited HK and the number of mainland visitors just seem to be increasing all the time. They particularly like TST so be prepared for lots of queues and crowds. Service excellent and English not a problem. Overall so long as you are happy to stay in The more crowded part of TST I would highly recommend staying in this hotel.

Room Tip: The higher floors are better and quieter.
