“Luxurious hotel centrally located to public transport”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2013

This was a wonderful hotel experience, one of the best hotels in HongKong! We stayed here for 4 nights and it was very enjoyable. The room was very cosy if a little small which is usual fair for hotels in HongKong, . Our room came with a IPhone3 as the standard room telephone which was a great touch.

Hotel is very centrally located at MongKok right above a shopping centre and the MTR station, which is great if you need to lug a stroller around which is next to impossible in HongKong (a lot of places not stroller friendly).

The restaurant was wonderful - We had buffet breakfast included which was a feast to behold with a mix of east and western food. Dinner was equally as good with seafood.

Service was great - the staff were polite and courteous.

Being a 5 star hotel its definitely a bit pricey BUT you definitely get your moneys worth. Will *definitely* be staying there again in future!

Staff is very pleasant and truly efficient. club room that we stayed in was wonderful ... great view and very comfortable bed. Recommend eating in their Chinese dining room for supper, worth every penny. Breakfast buffet had a bountiful selection ... one of the best we've experienced! The Hop On Hop Off bus has a stop just across the street from this hotel and is a VERY GOOD way to see Hong Kong. Make sure you take the hotel's complimentary evening street walk, it's a great way to orientate you to this area of Hong Kong.

Whilst I sure there are many excellent hotels in Hong Kong this one gets my recommendation. Lovely rooms, great location and super helpful staff.

Restaurants and bars are a bit pricey but hey, this is Hong Kong!

I keep returning to this hotel in Hong Kong for various reasons. Primarily, as a relatively newly establishment, it offers great value for money, and with five stars. Hong Kong is not surprisingly a very expensive hotel city to visit, and I see no need to stay in Central, ie. Central Island, for prices double or triple that of the Langham Place. This hotel is located in the hectic district of Mongkok, right next to Mongkok entertainment complex which hosts a variety of inexpensive eateries plus a cinema. Stepping outside the hotel, is a myriad of pedestrian streets with shops open to late at night and crowded with people, every day. Right down in the basement is the MTR Mongkok station with frequent train services to Central in less than 10 mins. Finally, Langham is also just 10 mins. taxi ride to the Kowloon Airport Express train station.

We opted for a club room this time. Not a bad choice indeed, at an internet price of only HKD 3600 pr. night plus local taxes. Club rooms are on the top floors, 36-39. Club lounge on level 36 is chic, spacious with a very decent buffet, both breakfast, high tea and dinner (regarding beverages for dinner, as an example, I counted five different champagnes to chose from). Children have their separate lounge with games, tv and sweets. The hotel has one of the most well equipped fitness centers on the 41st floor (which also hosts a spa) I have ever visited. Finally a rather big swimming pool on the ultimate roof top 42nd floor completes this outstanding establishment. The rooms are well equipped, beds very comfortable and with special menu for the pillows. From my memory, the lower floor rooms (up to 24th floor) and thus cheaper priced, differ in being slightly smaller than the higher floor rooms (also much smaller tv than the 42 inch tv's from 25th and up). The hotel is beginning to show signs of wear and tear, but I keep coming back to the ultimate question of how much to pay for five decent and luxurious hotel stars? Isn't it always a good sport to find the best mix beween value and money? At Langham Place Hotel in Hong Kong, I felt that all my HK Dollars was worth given out, and I shall no doubt return again.

My family of 3 adults and 1 toddler booked a trio room during our trip in Dec 2012.
Price is slightly expensive but i felt that it is worth every penny.

The room allocated was high floor and spacious. 1 King Bed and a single bed.
Hotel staff were all polite and helpful. They even have books borrowing services for my 3 yr old boy. I borrowed some books to keep him occupied at night.

Location is superb. The hotel is directly on top of the Mongkok station. There is no concern of rainy weather as it is linked. Travelling time is greatly reduced.

Since the hotel is located in Mongkok, there are many eateries around and they opened till late.

I will certainly stay at this hotel again.

Another great stay - I love this hotel so much that each time I return from staying in LPHMK I am already planning my next trip. The staff in this hotel are nothing short of amazing. They will go out of their way to ensure your stay with them is fabulous. It can be summed up with a comment made by a staff member on the Concierge desk in the lobby when he told me ''we don't want you to worry about anything while you are staying with us". And this is the attitude throughout the hotel. I always take a Club room (superb views and free wifi) with access to Club L, so my first contact is with the staff here. Check in is efficient but super friendly - nothing is too much trouble and the way these young employees treat their guests is a huge part of the reason LPHMK is my fave hotel.

I often travel solo and my security is very important. I would recommend this hotel for anyone who is travelling alone (and of course those that are not). I have never felt unsafe here which is a bonus for anyone of any age travelling.
The hotel is positioned above Langham Place shopping centre, which besides being a great shopping experience (chocolate lovers jump up and down with excitement) it also leads directly to the MTR two ways - one completely under cover through the centre without needing to go into the street and the other down a couple of escalators to cross the street for the MTR. So easy - and very safe if like me you are coming home at midnight after a huge day of shopping and eating (not that you could feel unsafe in Mongkok with all those people out in the street at all times).

Most 'must do' spots are very close...a quick trip to the flower market (swoon - how lucky if you are there when the Peonies are in season). It's just one stop on the MTR to Prince Edward station and is always my first port of call to buy flowers for my room. Vases can be bought at a ridiculously cheap price but the hotel will also supply a vase for you. From the hotel it is a very short walk to the Ladies Market and Kitchen Street (Shanghai Street) and to the famous one Michelin Star restaurant Tim Ho Wan which you shouldn't miss (google it - approx. Aust$25 for two people - the barbecue pork buns are to die for.
If you are not staying in a room with free wifi you are able to use a bank of computers in the hotel free of charge which is definitely a plus. If you do have access to Club L they will loan you a laptop to use in the Club.

Another example of the service - and for me this is a massive treat as I always shop far too much - is that the concierge will organise for you to post your excess baggage home. Very simple - ask them to buy you a box from the Post Office they will tell you the sizes and cost) then pack your box and return it to the Concierge for posting - for a very small surcharge. You will need cash for your posting - no credit card. So much cheaper than excess baggage at the airport.
I don't always fill out those review forms that hotels send you but after my visit to LPHMK last November I mentioned that I hated their ironing board covers - too thin - always a pet peeve for me. On my next visit (5 months later) this had been rectified. Very impressive - a hotel actually listening to their guests.

LPHMK smells gorgeous. The most beautiful fragrance coming through the air conditioning - a different one each season. You can buy the same room spray in the lobby shop to bring home - LPHMK in own living room...Bliss !

They say that home is where the heart is and for me this is it. I have a dream that one day I will live in LPHMK.

Room Tip: Try for a high room for the view and a good idea to check the configuration of the bathroom - in non...

Hi Mongkoklover,

It's coming up to midnight here, and your note has completely re-energised me. So powerful for us in hospitality to read that we've really touched a guest - it is the essence of LP hospitality.

Look forward to seeing you again soon, and so nice to read your kinds words.

thanks

We had a great stay at Langham Place...Travelling with small son (3), the staff, room, service and attention was outstanding. A great family hotel.
Stayed at the Lodge, 2 bed suite with kitchen.... Rooms getting dated, however, large, clean and all the standard details you should expect. Serivce from check in to check out felt personalble and effortless.
Great location with shopping / cinemas next door so even though weather a drag, plenty to entertain all without getting out in the rain.
Large Rooms, equiped Kitchen and in room toys all added to the little one of the family - he loved it all....

Room Tip: Club Floor worth it...their lounge / amenity was great! If with a group or looking for two rooms the...
