Langham Place Hong Kong is a hotel situated in Mongkok. The 5-star hotel experience was a very pleasant one due to several factors.

Access to the hotel from the airport as well as with MTR is very easy due to a close proximity to MTR station (almost on top of Mongkok station) as well as to the highway that takes you to the airport.

Mongkok is one of my favorite areas of Hong Kong, so you are right in the middle of more "traditional" Hong Kong street action than perhaps in the Golden mile or in Hong Kong island. You got Ladies market, Goldfish market and all shopping streets within a few minutes walking distance but also a huge 15-story mall in the same block as Langham hotel, with an easy walkway bridge from the lobby to the mall.

The hotel itself has all the basic necessities one could expect from a 5 star hotel, staff was very kind and attentive and my room was bigger than most normal size hotel rooms in Hong Kong. Everything was clean in my room, everything worked, wireless was free, room safe had power connection for computers etc.

If you know your way around Hong Kong and enjoy the excellent MTR system, then this should be on your list of suitable hotels. For first timers, I would perhaps recommend to book a room from more "traditional sites" near Victoria harbor and Hong Kong islan. For business travelers this hotel was certainly a good choice.

I was stayed Langham Place on 5 & 6th NOV 2012. Very good location, Clean, Tidy, Spacious rooms. Easy access to get public transport, Friendly staff..... huge shopping mall is connected. 24 hrs MC donald, KFC and other coffee shops also in surroundings.

Me and my colleague is enjoy the stay in Langham Place. We will prefer this hotel our next trip also.

GREAT:
1. Great Hotel!
2. Great Location! Just at Mongkok MTR; Very conveniently connected the Langham Place Shopping Mall.
3. Great service from staff; smiled and served with all sincerity!
4. Clean Rooms! With strong water pressure, nice bathtub, and “warm-enough temperature” water. (some hotels’ warm water is not warm enough; whereas some hotels’ warm water is very difficult to control, like you either cold water or very hot, not warm).

NOT SO GREAT:
Creaky flooring on walkway to rooms (stayed on 11th Floor); seems like the carpet is laid over some poor wooden flooring/planks.

Stayed here for 3 nights - had been lucky enough for the prior 2 nights to have stayed on HK island in the Mandarin Oriental so didn't mind that our second hotel was a few stops away on the MTR from the main sights. Hotel is great (esp if you secure a good deal online) - rooms are spacious (we had a suite), gym and spa fantastic and service great. Best advice would be to pay extra for the Club L access - we enjoyed pre dinner drinks (inc champage every night) and the free iPad access was useful. If you have less than 48 hours in HK then this hotel may not be the best option (30-45 mins travel to HK island) but if you've been to HK before like we had or have more time then definitely consider The Langham Place.
