“Perfect location but small room”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012

Hotel is located 5 mins away from MTR station and is right next to night market (temple street market).

Rooms are really small, probably the smallest that i have stayed in, but again most hotels around this price range in Hong Kong are about the same size. On the plus side, rooms are clean and they provide comfotable bed. There are 2 lifts from the lobby to the rooms and both of them are slow and small, so expect a fair bit of waiting time.

Will definitely stay there again for the location.

Tip: walk towards the back of the hotel for food, 7-11 and another night market.
Ladies street and Mongkok is about 20 mins walk.
If you are an avid Hong Kong drama fan, the famous Yau Ma Tei police station is just right across the street.

The hotel was immaculately clean and it was in a perfect location. I loved the "night market" and it was really close to Nathan Rd., and the subway station. The elevators always seemed to be full... it sure could have used a third unit, but it worked, and was never out of service. The room was tiny, but it was CLEAN, and the bathroom was small and efficient... Hong Kong style. No complaint there at all. The TV was OK, and it seemed that they took the trouble to make sure it all worked OK. I checked every channel...
My only real complaint was that the internet was not working for me two days out of three. They offered to change my room, which would not resolve the problem, as my laptop wouldn't work anywhere in the hotel... until somehow, it mysteriously started working one day... they had no idea how to reset the router or modem... or so they said.
They had tickets for Ocean Park, and excellent directions on how to get there... which was a real plus. All in all it was "Very Good".

The room is small but I think the space is enough. I like the cleanliness of the room and the location of the hotel. It provides sufficient toiletries, hair dryer, etc like other business hotels. Morning call was efficient. As for the location, Just a block of 2 from Yau-Ma-Tei station. I even walked to Jordan station from the hotel which took about 20 mins. The night market begins from the street in front of the hotel. I would go back and stay in the same hotel.

Room Tip: To request for double bed room if your are traveling alone, instead of 2 twin beds. Also, request fo...

Felt rather disappointed when I first saw the rooms as I felt a little deceived as the rooms weren't like the photos we saw and there definitely wasn't any bathtub. It was REALLY SMALL. But after the first night, we gave up complaining and got kinda used to the size of the hotel as it was rather clean. The staff were generally pleasant, however not very smiley.

Location was just awesome. (5mins walk to YauMaTei MTR, famous dessert shop Hui Lau Shan right opposite, Vintage Retro Mido Cafe just 2 minutes behind the hotel (famous for their baked pork chop rice!) and minutes walk to temple street and even a grocery shop and save etc..

Overall a good value for money hotel and I wouldn't mind to return! :) Would suggest the hotel to provide longer hours for the room service and increase the variety of food choices! Could also provide wifi services for guest, I wouldn't mind paying for them so long they are reasonably priced :)

Room Tip: I am not a smoker so I'll definitely prefer a non smoking room and also because they are on high...

Of course all rooms in hong kong hotels are small! And this hotel is no exemption. However, I found out that rooms here are clean. Comparatively to Marco Polo hotel of HK. The cleaning lady on the 7th floor is also a nice lady--- this is something you don't find in HK. Most people are rude there. Hats off also to the waitress in the 19th floor cafe. Although she doesn't smile, she never complains when we ask for so many condiments. That's a rare attitude for HK people…oopsss I did mention BUFFET breakfast. heheheh i know its unusual for HK hotel to offer free buffet breakfast, BUT don't get your hopes high up. Its the same menu everyday for 3 days we've been there.

In this day and age of technology--there is still no WIFI in the hotel !

5 minute walk to Yau Ma Tei MTR station.
1 minute walk to a useless night market on Temple street.

The rooms are very small. The location is convenient and easy to go around. The breakfast buffet is always the same everyday. The hallways, elevators and lobby are also small and there are only few seats in the lobby. There is no restroom on the ground floor. You have to go to the 19th floor to use the restrooms. The service is average.

Dear Sdfagel

Thank you so much for taking the time for furnish us with your constructive comments. We have taken note of your feedback with regards to the breakfast spread and will look into this issue. I do apologise however, that there's nothing much we can change with regards to the layout of the lobby and room size but am sure you agree that the location of hotel makes up for this as we are conveniently located within some of Hong Kong's shopping and entertainment spots; and certainly, getting around Hong Kong is not a major issue as the hotel also provides complimentary scheduled in-town shuttle service.
