“Great location, somewhat average hotel.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2013

Sitting in the hotel lobby writing this review right now.

This is my first time visiting Hong Kong and really had no idea what to expect. I've been told living space is very limited here...this is no joke. My family of four was assigned a room with two sets of bunk beds! The top bunk is quite low, so I ended up bumping my head several times. With four people, four luggage, and three carry-on bags, this room quickly became an obstacle course. For the price we paid, I can't complain; the hotel is beautifully designed, the rooms are clean and it's situated in a great location.

Across the street from the hotel is a Wellcome supermarket where we stocked up on water almost daily; locals shop there so their water isn't some crazy "tourist-only" price. A few blocks down further is temple street which comes to life at night -- people don't sleep here! Temple street is filled with street markets, street food, shops, restaurants...everything! Just a block to the left of the hotel is Austin Station and two blocks ahead of the hotel is Jordan Station; how convenient!

This hotel doesn't have a pool or a gym which is perfectly fine, because behind the hotel is Kowloon Park! The park has a recreation center and several public pools larger than any public pools I've come across anywhere else in the states. The entrance fee is just $19HKD.

Now comes the bad part. The staff at this hotel is just mediocre, for example, we had to call front desk because house keeping took the little card that's needed for lights and AC in the room, instead of sending someone, they told us to just fold up a piece of paper and stick it in the device....

The worst thing about this hotel is the elevators. They're incredibly slow! They're made to go alllllll the way up to the 24th floor before coming back down. While staying here, I experienced the elevator getting stuck once where they had to call the fire department.

Overall, clean hotel in a great location. Biggest nightmare is the elevators. Oh and wifi is not free. Also, coin operated laundry is a little expensive for such old machines.

This busy hotel in Kowloon feels a bit like a crowded railway station. Masses of luggage is stacked in the main hall; reception usually has a long queue of waiting customers and the anxious porters are never quite sure what to do with your bags.

To make matters worse, two out of four of the main lifts were out of action when we stayed. This meant a long wait to go up; and a MUCH longer wait to go down. On our first morning, the lifts were so crowded that no-one on the higher floors could get down; we eventually rang the concierge and came down on the service lift after a wait of forty minutes.

The rooms are decent, if a little small; but the whole place feels impersonal. Today we moved to Hong Kong Main Island and are staying at the Gloucester Luk Kwok Hotel near Wai Chai, a much more friendly, convenient and comfortable place - and at almost half the price!

Stayed here for one night (25 June 2013), on route to Barcelona. The hotel was very comfortable, big room and big bathroom. The hotel is very close to shops and the markets. The only downside, the lifts were very slow to get to you when you needed to use them. Breakfast also was good. Opposite the hotel is a 7 / 11 shop which is good for drinks and nibbles. Would certainly stay in this hotel again.

My husband & I stayed here for 4 days (3 nights). Our room was small, basic & a bit outdated. Our mini fridge wasn't working but was replaced right away upon us notifying the staff. Since we didn't spend much time in the room as we were busy sightseeing, we were ok with that. The hotel price is good for those on a budget. The hotel was conveniently located near the subway, Nathan Rd., a longer walk to the Night Market. We liked the Cafe de Coral for breakfast across the street. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for travellers on a budget.

Hi, I stayed in BP inter in the month of june,2013 with family (my 2 kids and wife). We took a cityvista room through agoda and got an handsome deal for 3 nights. The hotel band on Austin road which connects to Nathan, canton and streets like night market and so on. 7 eleven is just bang opposite and also some cple of other restaurant chain hotels. the room are very small and just enough for 2 adults but cozy and comfortable. the free wi fi is the best thing and is quite helpful in searching information on the city before u step out of the hotel. we did not have food in the hotel so no comments. The rooms are fitted with tea/coffe maker, LCD tv, shower and no bath tub. the building itself is quite famous and is known as hongkong scout centre. the only green park in hong kong (Kowloon city park) is beautiful and is at the back of the hotel wall. the nearest MTR station is just 50 meters so you can also reach here directly from air port via airport express line. the loby is big and the hotel is clean. the check in time is strictly 2 pm so time your arrival. all in all nice hotel at a very nice price (paid INR Rs21k) for 3 nights. Divide it by 60 and u will get the price in USD

Room Tip: take a room above 14th floor and book a harbour view room.

probably one of the smallest hotel room i've ever been to
but satisfactory nonetheless
the room is cozy, the bathroom is small but efficient and the location is relatively strategic
surrounded by many restaurant, MTR and some place to shop
the only thing bothering me is there are no door bell
so the cleaning lady have to knock and ask whether my room can be clean or should she come back later
other than that is nice place

We've stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. I've asked/notified them that our arrival will be early (6 am), and if its possible to check in early. I'm not asking them to give us a room on exactly 6 am. We arrived at the hotel around 7:30 am and was told that we can only check in at 9am. Its ok waiting for atleast 2 hrs more, but when I came back around 9am to check, I was told that there's no room yet and earliest check in would be 2pm. Since we're already tired and do not have enough sleep, I asked them to refund may deposit and we will just look for another hotel. After doing that, we're able to checked in at 11am;

Nothing special with this hotel, the space was so small, we're 3 in the room. the extra bed was put in the middle of the 2 single beds thus we dont have enough space to move around.

I've already expected this situation as Tsim Sha Tsui is known as one of the crowded place in HK. Maybe on my next visit Its alot better to stay in Causeway bay.
