“Perfect Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2014

Hotel has a perfect location with the best view in the City. Attention to detail is amazing and the service is outstanding. We received a business room upgrade. Suite was probably larger than most Hong Kong condos, complete with huge walk-in closet. Can only recommend this property.

Room Tip: Buy the Club package. Well worth it with breakfast, afternoon tea and evening snacks/ cocktails incl...

I spent a short break here in November and the attention to detail was amazing. Ibooked an executive suite and the view was breathtaking whats more the curtains are electronic so you can lie in bed and open them in the morning and see hong kong in all its glory. I would recommend booking a suite with a view but its not cheap. You do get what you pay for. I did treat my wife to a limousine pick up at the airport and we were collected by the hotel Bentley. It was worth the money as a treat and on arrival we were greeted by guest relations who took us straight to the suite.

The whole experience was expensive but it was worth every penny. I have stayed previously at the grand Stanford but this Intercontinental beats it hands down.

The club lounge is very well stocked and the drinks are very well managed. I certainly didn't have an empty glass. The location of the lounge is the only downside as it overlooks the main hotel lounge which is not a great view.

All told it was a magnificent stay and cant wait to return

Room Tip: Book the hotel Bentley for a truly memorable way to arrive from the airport and book a suite with h...

Been to so many hotels around this one, and we are finally here.
First, do not try to take the MTR hotel shuttle to go to this hotel, because they don't go here. The hotel is on the other side of the Salisbury. Take a cab from the Kowloon Station is the best way to go.
We stayed in a Harbor View room. It has a stunning view of the Island, and we found it very intimate after dark.
The hotel has every bit in quite a perfect shape. The view from the lobby is great. Received some beverage vouchers for being Platinum Ambassador, which we used for coffee in the morning.
It has a long walk to the nearest MTR station...

Room Tip: Harbor View!

This place is utterly ridiculous. I've stayed here on two occasions while passing through HKG coming back to Canada from Southeast Asia.

The prices are crazy but I had a buy-one-get-one weekend night which defrayed the cost!

The staff here is fantastic and the views are utterly amazing. Location is very good as well - underground station is literally right outside the door and down the driveway.

Coming into Hong Kong I think I would take a taxi right to the hotel from the airport in the future as the taxi queue at Kowloon station can be pretty bad (over 1 hour wait both times I've come in).

Had dinner one night at Nobu which was extremely delicious.

Spent 2 nights here. There was a 50% discount program and we decided to stay here rather than the HK island. It was a good deal and we upgraded to deluxe harbor view room on check in for HK500 more. Room 1214 was large and the bathroom was spacious. We are close to the harbor and the view was great, especially at night. We stayed at Grand Stafford Intercontinental last year and I'll compare the two.
This location is better, buffet breakfast was good with real fruit juices but cost HK320/230 child. The outdoor swimming pool and jacuzzi were heated. Just about warm enough to swim in the pool. We tried the jacuzzi first, one side hotter than the other, and then into the pool. The jacuzzi had an infinity type of wall looking into the harbor. In room dining was fine, especially the noodle menu for HK200 per bowl.
Downside mainly the high price. Need a trust fund or expense account. There is construction next door, especially noticeable at the pool. Lots of pilling noise. It will take several years for this to pass, thereafter, the view might be altered somewhat. Bellboys could smile a bit more and there should be more CNY atmosphere in the lobby. No decorations for the Year of the horse that I saw. Bathroom ceiling, shower door and underside of sink needs maintenance.

Room Tip: Lower level harbor view.

My Husband & I have just spent 3 nights here in a Harbour view room. The view from our bed had to be the highlight of this hotel as you can view the spectacular light show every evening without moving from the comfort of your room!
The hotel has a well equipped gym and also offers free Tai Chi with a Master of his trade who we have read about and this was an amazing experience. If you stay here get up early and experience this.
The check in was average we weren't given any information about the hotel which for this standard of hotel I found odd.
The lobby area is beautiful as is the furnishings and artwork. A very relaxing ambience to take afternoon tea which was delicious and an indulgence everyone should partake in!
Location is great.. Right by Star Ferries to get across to HK Island & close to all the shops if that's your thing!
Rooms are well equipped & bed was very comfortable with a choice of pillows!
We ate in Nobu which was an experience but in my opinion our cheap meals at the authentic little local noodle bars were what made our dining experiences memorable. The concierge in the hotel helped us with this.
Breakfast is delicious, varied & top notch.
Careful when checking out we were charged for two things we didn't have and had to question our bill. Again for a hotel of this standard this was disappointing.
All in all a great location & the view was unbeatable but could improve their check in and check out.
Would we return? Yes probably
