We love the location of this hotel, there are a lot of good restaurants and bars at the corner, just 2 mins walk to the Wan Chai metro station, also very close to Cause way bay the big shopping area.

The rooms are very clean, the servise is always great! Very good value hotel

Restaurant Tip: The Dog House bar and restaurant across the street is very good, good live band and good food

Room Tip: The rooms on higher floors are much better

Quick and prompt checkin. The lobby smells really nice but the area around the rooms not so nice. A bit like stale smoke.

The rooms look ok but the bathrooms are seriously outdated and really need a lack of paint. The beds are REALLY REALLY hard. I felt like I was sleeping on the floor.

We were allocated an adjoining room and one night we had to listen to the man next door have an argument about how much he was going to pay for the services of the lady he had 'met' that night. The next day was a lot better as he had 'met' someone else and there wasnt an argument, just could hear how much 'fun' he was having. Not really what we wanted to hear.

This place could be a really great hotel if some money was spent on it. Unsure if I would use again.

very good location in the heart of Wanchai, transportation very convenient, many bars and restaurants around. As Lockart Street is the "bar street" and red district, can be noisy until late into the night (better to stay in the upper floors of the hotel). rooms are clean, small but still OK according to HK standards !

The Wharney is excellently located for Public Transport on Hong Kong Island. My room was very comfortable and staff very helpful and friendly. During my one week stay I did not avail of food in the hotel because of the myriad of local restaurants. There are a few girlie bars near the entrance but the requests to enter their bars never bothered me. My stay was great value for money and I will return if on Biz in Hong Kong again. This is my third stay in this hotel.

I found this hotel on BA.com, nice and cheap and very central. The night life was right outside the hotel but we didn't hear any noise at night.

Free shuttle bus from the central station where the airport express arrives.

Staff weren't too helpful but we eventually prided the info we needed out of them.

I would stay here again

The hotel is in a fantastic location for bars . On my 17th time in Hong Kong I have stayed in many hotels here but have used this one the last 3 times because of its location . I will use all the time from now on

The hotel is good value , clean and comfortable . The bed is nice and hard and very comfortable .

Some rooms can be a bit noisy late at night from the nr by bars . The cleaners are noisy first thing in the morning too

Rooms have wi-fi you need pay for it though .

I have not turned tv on so can not comment on that nor have I looked in mini bar .

I could recommend this hotel but not for family's .

Room Tip: High up is quieter

We stayed here on the way back from a trip to Europe. We initially had an issue in that they forgot to organise the bus to the hotel. They did get it sorted, and gave us a discount on our rooms, but it was a frustrating way to start a short layover.

The rooms at the hotel were nice, standard fair for a decent hotel. There was no view from the rooms but given how built up Hong Kong is this is hardly a surprise. The amenities were also fine, the breakfast was a decent mix of Chinese and Western cuisine, and there is a pool onsite. The pool does close fairly early however, which was a bit disappointing.

The location is fine, as others have mentioned there is a red light district close by but we went walking at night and felt perfectly comfortable, there are also plenty of bars and restaurants in the area.

There are probably better hotels but for the price we were pretty happy with what we got.
