“Great”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2013 via mobile

Great location. Near the Tsim sha Tsui MTR station and for moslem travelers the hotel is near ebeneezer kebab, a halal restaurant. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. The room is okay, nothing special about it. We surely recommend this hotel.

Those that say the rooms are small arent really truly conveying just how ridiculously small they are...Ive stayed in other hong kong hotels...these are ridiculously small...and saying they are outdated and clean is simply misleading...theyre not clean...this hotel is old and just not nice..period...there are bigger walk-in closets than the room im in...sadly im stuck here for 5 more nights...just a nitemare...im gonna shoot the travel agent and am disappointed in the reviews of this hotel...usually trip advisor reviews are pretty onpoint...ive had good success...but this hotel just plain sucks...it wreaks of smoke...and to try and get them to do anything about it...well....everything that might work is sold out...yet...they can do this and that for another hundred bucks a nite...just not cool...polite and kind staff, yet totally unable to help...what shouldve been a piece of cake has totally ruined my week vacation...

Room Tip: wanna tip to choose a good room? go to a different hotel...i looked at just about every room in the...

The good: it's located in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui, walking distance from the TST bar scene, K11, Nathan road, TST East, the underground, and other main HK attractions.

The bad: the rooms are small (as most hotels in the city centre), it's often sold out and/or at high prices.

The tip:
1. keep an eye on booking sites, they often have special offers which are really worth! (down to 500HK$ per night!)
2. their restaurant on the second floor is a good place where to taste excellent dim sum!

Room too small for 3 person n even for 2. However, our flight arrived early so arrived to the hotel early around 11am. They allow us to check in without any fuss. Credit to the administration. Location wise without any doubt the best.

stayed with family for 2nights in november 12. as usual excellent location, friendly reception staff, neat & decent rooms, good service.
stayed earlier on business trip & equally good to stay with family as well.

Room Tip: avoid rooms on lower floors facing the road.

First thing you need to know about HongKong is that hotel rooms in the country are small. One need to understand that they have limited land area that's why they are used to such small spaces... and hotels rooms are no exceptions. So, lower down your expectations! :-)

We got an Executive Room at Guang Dong in February 2012. It's a 4 star hotel right in the heart of the shopping district of Kowloon. Room rates are a bit pricey which I understand because it's HongKong. Spaces are really expensive here. The room itself was (like I said) relatively smaller than what I imagined (and saw on the hotel website), but that was tolerable. The bathroom was fine. It didn't really pass my liking but at least it was clean and i found everything that I was looking for in it. The bed was okay. It was good enough to sleep on even if it doesn't have comforters.

One very good thing about the hotel is it's location. It is perfect for those who enjoy walking around the city. It's 5 mins away from the nearest train station and you get a lot of choices for food as soon as you step out of the hotel. You also have a McDonald's branch right across the street plus convenient stores on all each blocks. It's also 5 minutes away from the nearest mall so really, if location is what you're after... this hotel has it!

The hotel doesn't have free (in-room) WiFi which we didn't mind since we got a local SIM for HK$100 as soon as we got to HongKong. The local sim was a good deal since it included unlimited data of up to 8mbps. Tethering option for the sim was enabled too so I was able to connect my iPhone to my laptop whenever I was in our hotel room.

We did not experience much of the hotel's other services as we were always out exploring the city. But I think the hotel's personnel are nice. They do need to learn how to smile more though.

Overall, the hotel offered a cozy space & a perfect location for tourists.

This hotel isn't the most glamarous. It's tucked away a few streets away from the main road with a few bars and restaurants surrounding it. Checking in was relatively fast and easy. Inside is what you'd expect for a Hong Kong hotel, very cramped, not so modern, but generally quite clean. I would recommend this place if you are on a tight budget. Tsim Sha Tsui is a great place to stay because there's just so much to do, and this hotel is pretty convenient for some cheap local dining. Overall a decent place to stay if you're on a budget.
