5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2013

Loved the experience at the Regal Hong Kong, nothing went wrong and they delivered on everything said they would! Can't ask for much more than that.

I stayed at the Club Executive Lounge which is great value and great service. You get high floor, free breakfast and free cocktails/dinner and exclusive checkin/out.

Service is excellent though a little impesonalised but the do everything you could ask and are very polite.

Room and hotel reminds me of the Great Gatsby film with Leonard DiCaprio that has just come out, all mirrors and gothic! Bling is the key and the mirrors are disconcerting when you walk out onto the main floor but very cool in the bedroom, gives the impression of more space and works.

Great location in Causeway Bay, easy to shop, eat out and get MTR to airport.

Gym is very good, not cramped like many are, spacious and I was the only one using it both mornings.

Food is fine, bedroom space is ample...i literally can't think of a bad word to say about any of it, it's fantastic! Highly recommend it!

Room Tip: Executive Club Rooms

A lobby on the 1st floor, a bit small. Even, i arrived around 3pm. there was super crowded, many guests in a very long line which took me standing for more than 30minutes and just only 5minutes for the check-in.

Overall convenient and easy to approach, i recommend this hotel. All staff were very helpful, great location, nearby causeway bay shopping.. I stayed on executive floor, all included which made me feel very comfortable and safety even i was here alone.

The Club Level has a lounge which offers buffet breakfast (cereal, bacon, sausage and 2 other hot items but not usually eggs, juice, tea, coffee, toast, fruit loaf, pastries, cold meat and cheese) It is basic but adequate. Breakfast finishes at 1030. Complimentary beer, soft drinks and wine are available from 5pm - not full bar - again basic but adequate. 2 hot items (dim sum) cold pastries and chips and nuts are also available with some light salad type items as well. The lounge has a view of the surrounding buildings and mountains - it doesn't face the harbour but is on the 31st floor so still an interesting view. The staff are lovely. The lounge is small but is never really crowded with comfy chairs and nice furnishings. I would recommend it. There are 2 computers for general use immediately outside the lounge and free wi-fi access means these are not often used as everyone just uses their own phones or i-pads etc. The decor is lovely.

Room Tip: The lift only goes to the 31st floor so if you have a room higher than that you have to change lifts...

We were upgraded to a room with club amenities, and generally treated very well. The hotel is dated and the staff try very hard to make up for that. Kenneth in the club in particular was very kind to our two children and offered lots of advice for sight seeing. Our room was in very good condition, although the bathroom was a little small, but some very nice artwork in the rooms and corridoors. Anything that was wrong with the room was fixed immediately. The things that make it hard for such an old hotel to come up to modern five star standard are the very small rooftop pool, spa not working, a quite restictive "free" wifi system, a very small club area and no choice of included breakfast in club or downstairs. It must be in the club with very good service but a tiny buffet selection. Also a very limited selection of drinks in the cocktail session, but it must be difficult to add more for such a small number of people using the club. A wonderful location. Would recommend if you can get a club room at a very good rate.

Good points:
1) Close to causeway bay station
2) Staff are very hardworking and helpful

Bad points:
1) Small room and bathroom (though that's a given in Hong Kong)

Not much to comment because I did not spend much time at the hotel, I was out all day and would only come back to rest. When ever I did come in contact with the staff, I was very happy with the speed and quality of their service. Yes I would come back and stay here again!

Fantastic hotel but doggy punters. Rude punters monopolise the sunbathing chairs. The other guest not even arrive yet. thought is 1st come 1st serve basic. end up back to the room. Only 4 for whole hotel. Tiny pool.
