“This is still my favourite hotel in Hong Kong”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2014

The service is impeccable, the location in Central is great, the rooms are very nicely furnished and equipped, and are a good size. It's expensive but if you get a deal it's worth it. It has a real touch of class and stylish charm.

Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong is perfection. Service, food, rooms, view, spa (of course) and just every single little detail. They noticed that one of the days during our stay was my birthday and sent up a chocolate cake (I normally don't like chocolate, but this was worth breaking habit). The room was pristine and beautiful, so well-thought out, so wonderful in every way. The drinks at and view from M Bar are just the best. No request is too much, even if it happens to be after check-out - asked the front desk/concierge to help make a couple of reservations for our last evening in HK and they were able to help get last-minute reservations at Pierre and a bar in another area in HK.

Can't wait to return!!

Nothing actually wrong with this place, but nothing to write home about either. I was expecting to wallow in the lap of luxury, but this didn't happen, I felt more like a tiny cog being processed through a massive machine, with effortfull smiles being worn all round, yeah I know effortfull isn't a word but i'm sure you know what I mean

Service, location, room, everything was excellent as you would expect from the Mandarin Oriental. Check in was delayed a few hours which was a bit annoying as we had to change some plans, but it was the holidays so I'm sure it was just busy.

Service here is so good that you might want to hit that Privacy button if you're planning on hanging out in the hotel - they'll come by often to check and see if you need any services.

I personally prefer the more modern Landmark Mandarin Oriental for that extra 'wow' factor: MO should think about adding that 'scent'... but otherwise, no complaints and will be back for sure.

I have stayed at this hotel several times and I still can not find anything they can improve on. Nothing much to say other than this is a great hotel. Excellent service, room, restaurant, etc. Easy walk to a subway station.

It's hard to know where to begin when so many previous reviewers have said it all. Suffice to say that it's difficult to imagine what more the Mandarin Oriental could do to enhance their outstanding service. Our room was immaculately presented and offered every conceivable comfort, including our favourite spot to relax, lounging on an oversized and super-comfy chaise in what would have formerly been the balcony and overlooking the busy harbour. The staff are on hand to respond to every request with a smile and addressing us by name throughout our stay is typical of the thoughtful and very personal touches we appreciated.

We'd return to our room after a busy day to find the spaghetti of our charger cables on the desk tidied with neat cable wraps, microfibre cloths left by each ipad and yes, the pillow sprays and beautifully scented balms which we love. All beautifully managed and small details which make the difference.

Everything in the Mandarin Oriental is cool, calm and sophisticated. Nothing jars or detracts from the elegant atmosphere and the timeless yet contemporary decor, prime location and exemplary service will lure us back again and again.
