“Comfortable Bed!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2012

The room was very tiny and the decor was extremely basic and minimal with hard surfaces. On first impression this seemed worse than it did after sleeping so well in the very comfortable bed! I have stayed at places in Hong Kong that were more spacious and beautifully decorated, but the beds were as hard as the floor. This was what really set the Ibis apart. When dealing with jet-lag, a good sleep is more important than beautiful decor!

The staff were friendly and efficient. Anything we needed help with was taken care of within a few minutes. The food was delicious and well presented. It is very close to the subway station and the ferry terminal which made it easy to get around Hong Kong.

The view of the harbor and distant mountains was beautiful, even on a rainy day. I will stay here again.

This hotel stands in front of North Point bus terminal and ferry terminal. North Point bus terminal is the final destination of the A11 airport bus and quite easy to find. It's also quite easy to hang around the main area of Hong Kong island north with tram, bus and MTR. Single room is pretty small but enough for stay in a couple of days. North Point is an interesting old area and there are many local restaurants offering nice local breakfasts.

The average of the hotel quality/price is very good for Hong Kong. The double bed is not a standard bed, is only 1,80 cms height, and 1,37 cms wide, so my British husband had his feet hanging from the bed!!!! The size of the room, compared to other Ibis hotel around the world is not the same. It was very tiny, but we had a wonderful view of Kowloon from the 22nd floor. I can't give an Excellent only because of the tiny size of the room.....sorry. The location is excellent, the subway entrance is in the same block and the bus terminal is crossing the road, so you can arrive from the airport direct and also go from there to Stanley Market in one bus....no changing lines or up and down in Metro. The Java market cooked food Market is in the corner, one of the most authentic places to eat al night in HK. I would definitely go back!!!!!!!!

Dear TripAdvisor Member,

Thank you very much for your review! I was very happy to read that you were satisfied with our location, in fact it is very popular in town as North Point is only 4 metro stops away from the center of the city. At the same time I am sorry that you were not happy with our beds, we are actually working on to change them next year. The plan is to change them for a bit larger and much more comfortable.

Many thanks again for your comments and we are looking forward to welcome you back to ibis North Point Hong Kong!

Best regards,

I like best is its location. MRT is just 3 minutes walk from the hotel. The room is very small and more like the Tune Hotel operated by the Air Asia Malaysia. Lucky we get a clean room and quiet environment. The standard bed is barely not enough for two person. For those who travel in couple it will be better to pay attention to the size of the room before you decide to book. The staff is friendly and could speak good English, which is quite superising. I don't like the evelator and usually have to wait at least 10 minutes during rush hours. A lot of China people staying there. Not a bad option in Hong Kong

Dear TripAdvisor Member,

Thank you very much for your review! We are glad to read that you liked our location, it is correct, the North Point MTR station is located within the same block and offers a very convenient option to get in the center in no time.
Allow me please to mention that the North Point Ferry and a major bus station is also next to the hotel, which offer great solutions to discover this wonderful city.

Thank you again and we are looking forward to welcome you back to ibis North Point!
