Din Tai Fung has spread its wings widely since it opened in the back streets of Taipei and now has restaurants in China, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Korea, Australia and even in the USA. Its speciality is dumplings with all sorts of excellent fillings. Bite off the top, suck out the juice and munch the dumpling....that's what I am told is the way to eat them.
There are, generally, queues outside waiting for tables but we didn't have to wait too long before they found us a table. The dekiverey of the food is super-efficient and done with care even although the place was heaving on the Thursday evening we ate.
Great experience - Taiwan style.
