“Excellent value for Hong Kong”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013

Really enjoyed our stay here. Despite being somewhat out of the way it's still quite accessible. There's a metro stop inside the attached mall. Taxis are abundant and reasonable. I feel it's worth the extra little time to get around to have a extremely comfortable, modern and large room. The service was very good. Provided a baby cot with bedding at no charge. Regarding value in Hong Kong I rank this as equal to the Hyatt ShaTin but better location for Central and TST.

Stayed there for six nights. Hotel is a little far off from the city and it is a pain to travel everyday 20-30 mins additional if you are a tourist but compared to the price it was well worth it. But given that hotel is right on top of the MTR station its not too bad. This hotel is very new, staff is excellent and are willing to go the extra mile to make your experience positive. I had requested for a room on higher floor and was given one on the 41st floor which was nice. It was my birthday and the hotel sent me a cake which was good. Hotel conceirge, especially Vincent was excellent and was able to guide us to all the good places in Hong Kong. It was a nice experience to come to hotel everyday. Breakfast menu can be improved it was almost the same for all six days. Vegetarian options were very limited. All in all a good hotel with a nice room size and all the mordern ameneties.

Room Tip: Go for the higher floor

Spacious rooms inside a hotel next door to the mall and the MRT station. Excellently priced rooms and still convenient for travelling to Hong Kong Island. I booked a car from the airport from the hotel but unfortunately the driver couldn't find it. It was my first visit to the hotel also so I could not direct him. He had no navigation system in the car so it took him over 30 minutes to find the hotel after he called the front desk for directions. This was rectified with the hotel the morning after, but did make the journey from the airport long and did not check in to the hotel until after midnight. I felt a more appropriate apology and explanation as to what happened would have been appropriate. I emailed the hotel to arrange other requests before arriving and when these were not answered before my arrival I am yet to receive a reply. I doubt I will return to this hotel but I will await a response from the management before deciding as above all the rooms were very spacious and comfortable by HK standards.

Stayed here for 4 nights for a family holiday. From the ferry terminal, the hotel was a $140 HKD ride away and from the airport it could cost you $400 or thereabouts.
Since I was a Platinum member, was welcomed with a nice bottle of Australian red wine, which was a nice touch. Got a room on the 33rd floor in spite of me asking for a higher floor room. Surprised that Holiday Inn properties are not upgrading Platinum members to the Executive floors. But the room was pretty modern and by HK standards, quite spacious. I was also offered free Wi Fi and 1 free breakfast.
The hotel is right next to the Tseun Kwang O MTR which is in the Popcorn Mall. This proved to be a blessing as we took the MTR all across HK even as far as Disney land. The in room dining selection was pretty limited, but the food was great. The breakfast had a good spread too, but was filled with loads of Indian guests for 3 mornings. Overall, one of the better properties I have stayed at in the last year. Remember to check out the sky terrace on the 31st floor. Saw guests having their dinner there looking out at the skyline

Room Tip: Ask for a corner room

If, like me, you travel on business, but not on a grandiose expenses package, then this is the hotel to stay in. It has everything a traveller needs, and is reasonably priced for what you get (I paid around HKD 900 per night). It is new, and sits above a shopping centre and a Metro station. There are a couple of restaurants in this shopping centre, but a whole load more in the "Park Central" Shopping centre which is next door and connected via a walkway (look for the signs). The only disadvantage is that it is away from the normal areas of activity such as Kowloon and Central, but these are easily accessible via the Metro. If you need to get to the airport and back with large bags, you will probably need a Taxi. This would have been a 5-star review, but for the fact that there is no free Wi-FI in the rooms. charges are HKD100 per 24 hours and you can access it fairly easily once you are on their Wi-FI network. Why do hotels continue to charge for this service? Especially in a city as connected as Hong Kong. At this level, it is as essential as tea and coffee in the rooms! They lose a star for this!
