“Dim Sum Love”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2014

Fresh Ingredients and busy ambience is what I love most about this dimsum place. Imagine hakao made with wrappers that actually tickles your mouth and shrimps that are crunchy and fresh. Fell in love with dimsum all over again.

“Worth the wait!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2014

I've been here 3 times, and each time there's been a long lineup. It's not too bad as they provide many stools for people to wait. You can ask them for a menu and picture book to choose what you want while you wait.
The dim sum is really good and worthy of it's one Michelin star. My favourite is the Steam Cake in Mala Style. It takes up the entire dim sum basket! The egg custard bun is another must try as it has just a hint of sweetness and is so creamy! One Dim Sum definitely lives up to it's hype!

“Well worth waiting for”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2014 via mobile

This place is not hard to find, and worth the wait if you go at busy times. Get a ticket from Ken who will tell you how long you will need to wait, then go and get a coffee or stroll around the flower market nearby if he tells you a long time. If you are staying in Mong Kok then One Dim sum is local. Ken speaks good English and will take care of you.

The food is lovely, and you can't help but over order as it all looks so good (yes the char siu buns are a bit of a cliche, but that's cos they're good!). The good news is that however much you over order, it won't break the bank. So order what you fancy and leave what you can't eat, or like us stuff your face and don't eat for the rest of the day. As a guide, the two of us are total pigs - we ordered 8 dishes including the sticky rice wrapped in a lotus leaf, and I'm not sure how we squeezed past the tables to get out without collateral damage. About $180HK total.

“This is why people rave about Dim Sum !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2014

We came here based on TA reviews. After Harbour Lights show, we hopped on the MTR to Prince Edward station and this restaurant is 2 minutes walk from the station.
I have had Dim Sum lots of times before in other cities ( SAn Francisco, London, Vancouver Etc. ) and whilst thinking it was Good, it was not something I would rave about. It was here that I found out what all the fuss is about.

We had to wait about 5 minutes for a table. We ordered a selection of dishes ( some recommendations by the waiter ) and all were good - I think we had 8 in total, and tea for 4 of us and it came to less than 200 HKD ! Also most dishes had 4 dim sum which made it easy for the 4 of us to share.

The service was quick and friendly, and if I ever go back to Hong Kong I would search it out again. We went to Tim Ho Wan the next night ( to compare ) and all thought One Dim Sum was better.

“Best dim sum I ever had!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2014

This is truly a gem in busy Mongkok and I really think it surpassed Tim Ho Wan! The fried egg sticks with honey or condensed milk was certainly special and outstanding! The other dim sum items were fresh and juicy. Price is also a steal as it is really value for money! Most importantly, unlike many places where service staff are loud and rude, at one dim sum, the service staff were very friendly. All these had certainly made my meal an unforgettable one!
