“Awesome hotel stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013 via mobile

Stayed at Madera Hong Kong from 4-7 march... The 3 nights stay was really enjoyable and no doubt one of the best hotel I've stayed in Hong Kong.

Firstly, I've to say the service stuff were not only friendly, they were in fact excellent. Me and my friend were so impressed by the hospitality that we were received. The staff not only remembered our room number and got our pillows changed promptly when we feedback that they were too soft for our likely.

Location is probably one of the really good ones. It's around 3-5 minutes from Jordan Mtr exit B1... And there are many food places around Jordan area... To name a few, Australia dairy which provides amazing scrambled eggs and mak man kee's wanton noodles were so yummy! The hotel staff recommended us 佳佳甜品 nearby and it was definitely a good choice for hot dessert.

Hotel is easily accessible by the mtr but if you have many luggages, I will recommend that you take a cab. It cost between hkd250-290 depending on traffic from airport to hotel. And do print out the hotel map/instructions for cab driver from their official website. It was really helpful. Driver had no problem finding the hotel despite it being relatively new.

Great stay! Will definitely stay at Madera next time.

After reading many reviews of Hotels before booking the Madera, I was happy to arrive and find a well sized room on the 12th floor with a walkin desk/wardrobe area. Unfortunately it reeked of cigarette smoke, so approached the concierge who was surprised to here this, and sent someone with a magic spray to help. It did help, but it was still noticable when re-entering the room at the end of the days travels. I found the best way to rid the room of the smell, was a kebab and it's juicy wrapper brought back to the room!
The gym was good, and the Cafe capuccino's were really nice too. The upstairs deck was ok for the light show, but only ventured up there for one night.
Staff were lovely and helpful explaining where places were on the map.
Partner found the bed a bit hard.
Hints: There's a subway just one street north of the Madera which will take pretty much to the Temple St Markets (though I think the Ladies markets are better)
Take the No.1 bus up and down Nathan Rd to the Ferry's

The location might not be as good as Langham place but the price is worth, just 5 mins walk from Exit B1 from Jordan( take the lift if you have big lugguge as there is no escalator from this exit). A21 airport bus is just steps away too. Taking cab from Ladies street about HKD20, and from TST is about HKD40. The staff are very friendly, stayed on 26 floor grand deluxe room, the room is spacious with a hugh TV and a designer sofa. Bed is very comfy, free mini bar, snacks and branded toiletries. Everything in this boutique hotel seems to be tailor made, including very soft towels, special bathrobe and bathroom slipper. Limited TV channel, wifi is strong all around the hotel, Jacuzzi can be found within this room type with seperate shower. We tried the game room but with only one wheel control and limited games, you can skip this unless you really have time to spare.

We stayed in this new hotel for a week.

Although it is rated as 3.5 to 4 stars, the service and furnishings are better than some of the 5 stars hotel.

Service staff : courteous and polite, very helpful.
Check-in : speedy, alternative arrangements can be made without hassel.
Room : Great modern furnishings, large LCD TV with some cable channels
Toilet : Jacuzzi style bathtub, full amenities, clean.
Bed : just the right feel, soft down pillows (which we dislike).
Breakfast : do not expect much, just a grab and go type of breakfast, besides there's food in HK everywhere.
Location : Excellent, 2 min from MTR exit

Overall great value for money compared to other hotels in the vicinity!
Will stay there again for next HK trip.

Room Tip: Take the grand deluxe coz it comes with breakfast for just a little more.

Just came back from a 4 day trip to Hong Kong and stayed here the entire time. Such a perfect perfect location! Just 2 short blocks from the Jordan station. Just to let you know, there can be multiple subway station entrance/exits but there is usually one main area to actually get on/off the subway which means, the entrance/exit can be near your hotel but once you go down you will realize you have to walk quite a bit to actually get to the subway itself. But this particular location is just 2 short blocks to the direct access of the Jordan station.

It's also super close to the Temple Street Night Market and eateries.

Overall, It's a very clean and fair-sized room. I don't think its too small. It's not huge but its adequate in size. The people working here are super nice, informative, and friendly. They also knew English so that helped us a lot!

I love how the hotel smells right when you walk in. It's so fresh and clean! Great boutique hotel with modern touches. Elevators were fast and efficient too.

I would highly recommend staying here and I plan on staying here again if I ever come back to Hong Kong. Great hotel for the price and location!

I stayed at the Madera recently during a trip to Hong Kong. The hotel is in a pretty good location, close to the train and within walking distance to some of the night markets. We booked a deluxe King room which although was small was pretty nice. I'm saying it's small but honestly it's probably about average for Asia/Europe standards. If I was to make a complaint it would probably be the bed was a little too firm for me but that's more of a preference and the café where you can get breakfast is a little limited and overpriced. I think breakfast if I wanted to get it was a croissant and a coffee but I didn't mostly due to the price. Overall if your going to stay in Hong Kong and want a central place to stay the Madera is a good choice.

Overall great hotel. Newly renovated. Great locations.
The coffee shop is superbly decorated and has fantastic cafe latte.
The rooms are small but luxurious.
Staff is very good.

Basically the hotel is worth it if you can get it at a good price.

Repeat : Yes, at the right price.
