Wednesday night, typhoon just gone through, no desire to go shopping: take away it is. But what to have? After much fading I decided to get off my backside and walk round to Pizza Express, it's only a few minutes away from me after all.
I knew what I wanted - an on menu pizza plus one item so I ordered immediately. This is where it goes wrong. I paid for my pizza plus a coke, after about 15 minutes I noticed that they hadn't charged for the extra item so I mentioned it to the waiter. He said he'd deal with it - this is when I knew I had a problem. Either they were half way through it and were going to try and rectify it, or they hadn't started it yet - the latter would be better as at least I'd get the right pizza. No. Half cooked mushrooms added to a mostly cooked pizza.
I didn't want that. I was already nearly half an hour into the process and had gotten nowhere. The real shame is that these guys usually produce pretty solid food - it's the lack of attention to detail, such as listening to the order, and an inability to deal with the initial mistake that let's them down. A real shame, but it messed up my evening. I asked for my money back. I'd had enough by then.

I am sorry to hear of the problems that you encountered with your pizza. We should have got the order right from the start and when we got it wrong we should have started over again. I will share your feedback with the team to make sure that this does not happen again. I hope that you will be able to give us another chance to get it right.
