But just keep it a secret amongst friends. Timeless setting, wonderfully old deco, paintings by Chinnery himself. Have a Gunner if you are new in town (99.9% no alcohol) or a beer, both is served in ice cold silver mugs. Many of the staff have been working here for over 10 years. Truly it's first class service.
Come early 11.30 as there is no booking available. This way you can choose the best table. If you arrive 12.15, it's unlikely to get a table and you can perhaps find a space at the bar.
This is one of the smallest, most intimate bars I know (about 15 seats at a table and 12 at the bar only).
In the old days Chinnery did not serve women. Up to today, I have not seen any lady by herself in this place.
Now you know it. Keep it to yourself or it will be even harder to get a table.
