“Delicious”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

Worth the trouble finding this Resturant. Hidden in station food and retail area with no English signage. So good we went back and back for take away dinner for the hotel room. Yum!

“Amazing BBQ pork bun, but otherwise average dim sum”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2013

We went to the Tim Ho Wan twice with our friends from Singapore. The BBQ pork bun is really delicious and deserving of a Michelin star. The chicken feet dish was disappointing, and the other dim sum dishes were good but not of a Michelin star standard. I would skip the queues and go to the takeout counter for the BBQ pork buns (which are a must eat - yummy). But it's a long wait time for the coffee shop style dim sum experience. A meal will cost HKD250-300 for two.

“Very crowded, great BBQ pork bun”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2013

We heard a lot about Tim Ho Wan. So my wife and I dropped by Tim Ho Wan at IFC Mall quite late and had to queue, so we were one of the last batches to get a seat for dinner.

We ordered a bunch of dim sum - siu mai, crystal dumplings, foo chok, BBQ pork bun (char siu pau), etc. Food was not bad, but I thought could be better given its reputation. But the BBQ pork bun stood out - must try!

“Great tim sum”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2013

BBQ pork bun is outstanding. Warm and crisp on the outside and a single bite releases the piping hot juicy "char siew" filling inside. Full of flavour and its worth going just for this. The rest of the dishes are also pretty good. Tip - get there early or go at odd hours if you want to avoid the queue. Be prepared to share your table with other diners. Not much ambience, just focus on the great food.
