“Good views and good sound”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 14, 2014

The Coliseum next to water and is served by the metro for easy access from all over town. We stayed at the Harbour Plaza Metropolis Hotel next door so we just had to cross the walkway to the riverside and the concert hall. Arriving early was a waste of time as there were no facilities available and so we joined the other Voice of China fans waiting outside. Most of the crowd arrived on fifteen minutes before the show time but once the doors opened the well drilled staff got everyone to their seats quickly.

With all the 12,000 seats filled the noise from the crowd was incredible but the music and singers came over very clearly. With a central stage all the acts used a variety of entrances and exits though a few missed them in the dark which amused everyone. The middle of the stage rises and lowers with terrific lighting systems for each act and the mood was changed for the acts each time.

A great venue that felt safe and comfortable aside from the lack of a waiting area or drinks available inside the building.

“Best venue for concert in HK”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2013

Having attended numerous concerts here, I have to say this is one of the best indoor concert venue in HK. It's located next to Hung Hom train station. There's a mall and hotel across from the Coliseum.

“One of Hong Kong's major venues for large-scale events”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2012

One of Hong Kong's major venue's for large scale events, the Hong Kong Coliseum is located in the neighborhood area of Hung Hum, not far from the shores of Victoria Harbor and the district of East Tsim Sha Tsui. From a visitor perspective, there is little reason to venture here simply to see the grounds of the stadium unless you are coming for an actual event.

The Hong Kong Coliseum is just across the street from the Hung Hum Station where there is direct service to mainland China via train as well as the main MTR transportation system. The arena has held impressive events, particularly sports and was a feature venue during the East Asia Games held a few years back.

If you are visiting HK for an event to be held at the Hong Kong Coliseum, you can chose the nearby Hotel Icon if you want to stay close or just stay anywhere in the city for that matter, frequent and convenient transportation can get you to/from the Coliseum quickly. You are easily walking distance to many major hotels and restaurants in the Tsim Sha Tsui (TST) area from here.

“Misunderstood by tourist”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2012

I am a local Hong Konger.
And this Hong Kong Coliseum called "Red Coliseum"
Because it located in Hung Hom, Hung means red in Cantonese.
I would suggest you to pick a concert on hkticketing and then visit.
It's extremely boring if you just look from the outside.
But concert in "Red Coliseum" are dream of every singer in Asia.
Don't visit if you just want to have a brief outside architectural judge.
