Great place (free shuttle to the subway). Great service. Great rooms (ask for a high floor). Great swimming pool. Great restaurants. It doesn't get much better than this.

I stayed at Hotel Icon for 4 nights last week. I really liked the hotel. Good room with a great view. Everything is new. Great lobby bar, Restaurant at the top of the hotel is really cool. Also great pool and exercise facility. Depending on the purpose of your visit, the location can be good or bad. The good is that it is close to Hung Hom train station if you are coming from the Mainland or need to go to the Mainland by train. The bad is that the hotel is located in Tsim Sha Tsui East which is not well connected to Tsim Sha Tsui by MTR so you will need to take a taxi ($20-$25HKD) or wait for the hotel shuttle bus. If you need to go to the HK side then by taxi you are close to the Cross-Harbour Tunnel which is nice. If you would rather go to the HK side by MTR or the Star Ferry (much cheaper than a taxi) then you need to take a taxi or hotel shuttle to Tsim Sha Tsui which is really not that convenient. All in all if I need to stay on the Kowloon side I would chose this hotel again. However, on balance I would rather give up some of the advantages of this hotel and stay on the HK side which I find to be much more enjoyable. I usually choose Lanson Place Hotel in Causeway Bay.

Room Tip: Ask for an upgrade to a harbor view room.

ok. you cannot miss the many trip advisor logos once you enter this hotel (which I find a bit tacky) but they are just proud to be #1 (may12). and everyone really makes an effort to stay #1. the design is flawless, the staff is overly attentive, I had no waiting time at the reception (opposed to other reviews) and the buffet is huge and worth the price. the massages were also good although paying before enjoying it seemed weird.

it is very practical to take the free shuttle bus K3 to the hotel. i was surprised by the efficient organization. the bus leaves every 15 min or so.
the area kowloon is unfortunately a vast tourist trap. unless you enjoy shops and more shops that stay open till midnight it is recommended to leave this place and at least discover HK island.

only one thing to watch: the bell boys are young and try hard to be professional. but on my way to the airport they did not pay attention and the MTR shuttle bus I was supposed to board passed through the hotel's driveway without stopping. so i had to take a taxi as the next one would have been 12min later. maybe one should blame their 10 hour shifts.

Room Tip: the rooms facing the multi-lane highway are quite noisy. even in the 21st floor.

First of all - the view is just stunning !!! We had a room with harbour side view for 8 nights and it was worth every cent. You can enjoy the view from many other spots inside the hotel - for example from the restaurant and the lounge on the top floor or through the glass front from the 24h gym or from inside the outdoor top pool in front of the gym.
You see, the view is not everything this hotel offers. It starts when you enter the lobby and see the simple but very stylish interior while you smell the fine designed and freshening aroma that's in the lobby.
The hotel staff is extraordinary friendly and helpful with everything and well educated in English. There is an extra front desk for tourist information and to meke up reservations, purchase tickets or change money.
A 5min walk away you have a big train station, on the opposite side of the hotels street there is a taxi stand where almost everytime taxis are waiting and the hotel has its own shuttle service.
The hotels restaurants offer a large variety of good dishes, as well as huge breakfast buffets.
The rooms have also a nice and chic design as well as the bathroom. Minibar drinks (just non-alcoholics) and chocolate is for free.
All in one it was a great experience and it was not my last stay in this hotel !

Room Tip: I suppose to take a room with harbour bay view - it's just amazing !

Stayed here after reading other good reviews. Staff were very efficient, professional. Had a standard room but had great views, more spectacular due to a thunderstorm.

Thing i really liked about this hotel which others could learn from is that there wasn't an extra charge each time a door was opened. Free internet worked very well and quick. Soft drinks and chocolate in the mini bar.

The hotel is a little way from the nearest MTR station. There is a shuttle bus that runs every half hour, and taxis pretty easy to get, so a relatively minor inconvenience.

So overall a good hotel which i would recommend.
