Having stayed at just about every decent Kowloon Hotel over the years, I have watched rates go up and down as tourism does the same. Now with Mainland People taking up most of the mid-priced hotels, the better ones have no problem asking for room high rates.
Very nice rooms, free mini bar is really soda and M&M's, maybe different on the Club Floor. Location is convient to most things except MTR which is a long walk, or you take their shuttle. The Lobby is very nice and the Excersize Area is excellent with a very attentive staff.
Main Floor Staff were friendly and very helpful but not up to the level of the hotel's star rating but this is still a new hotel. Breakfast Staff in the Second Floor Coffee Shop are at best fair.
One important note, if you are taking a cab to the hotel, be sure to have a hotel card with the location in Chinese. Since it is new many cab drivers do not know where the hotel is.
