“Great service, large rooms. South China Sea views! Thank you T Hotel.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2013

A great concept for a hotel. Outside it looks like catering college but once inside, you are transported into the foyer and facilities of an excellent hotel. The service is great, rooms really good size, very clean, decking outside restaurant to view the sea.

Not in centre but easy access by bus or a £6 taxi ride. Good links to Aberdeen, Stanley, Ocean Park and back route to Victoria Peak. Staff keen to give advice on travel options. Bus to airport stops outside hotel. Free hotel car into centre 3 times a day from reception.

Trainees very polite and keen to do well, observed and supervised by experienced staff at all times.

Chocolates each day in room a nice touch as was rubber duck for our daughter left one evening in re bathroom (which also had a TV!).

Would stay here again. Nice to be away from noise and hustle and bustle of centre, knowing you are not far away from any where.

I really like the concept of this training hotel. The staff were the most friendly and helpful i have ever experienced and i have now stayed in several high end hotels e.g Hilton, Crowne Plaza and several others. In my opinion, the T Hotel surpassed these. The rooms and linen were exceptionally clean, they gave a plate of chocolates by your bedside each night, the views were spectacular and the staff were keen to help with everything without being imposing. And although they appear underconfident, their level of spoken english is very good. The only problem is that it is not as central as i would usually stay, but there are express bus services (30x and 4x) which can get you into central in 10 mins and other buses, which take 20-30 mins. Could not recommend highly enough.

Just checked in to the T hotel after a stressful journey with a lost camera and credit card! The staff could not have been more helpful resulting in the camera being found! Room gorgeous with great facilities and also a well stocked mini bar with reasonable prices. Looking forward to my five nights here. Impressions so far faultless.

This is a training establishment with a small number of very well appointed rooms - about 30 in total - and with a high staffing ratio, the vast majority young trainees supervised by experienced older staff. The deal is that you get five star facilities at steeply discounted prices, the trainees learn on the job. You might expect the occasional glitch but any that occurred were trivial and quickly rectified. The trainees were extremely keen to help - as were their supervisors; the one difficulty we encountered was in making ourselves understood by and understanding the trainees - the result of a political decision to abandon the teaching of English in schools after the handover to China in 1997.
Our room was spacious with great views of the ocean. It was equipped with a very comfortable bed, excellent bathroom with bath, separate shower (and a waterproof TV!), a well-stocked and inexpensive minibar, free Wi-Fi, music system with iPod dock etc. There is also a gym and spa. Breakfast was included in the price and was very good.
There are two restaurants - one serving European cuisine, the other Chinese - both training establishments. Having had a great experience in the US at the other CIA (the Culinary Institute of America) in upstate NY, we tried both and enjoyed them - the Chinese restaurant was very well patronised by local Chinese.
The hotel is a little way out of the centre but well served by public transport and is easily and inexpensively reached by taxi - about HK50-60 from Central.

Great hotel but be patient with the trainees. Our room was fantastic with all the comforts and views. Food menu was limited but delicious. You will definitely need to book this hotel well in advance. It is a little far out of Hong Kong but taxis are cheap and a bus runs from the airport past the Hotel. After booking, the Hotel sends you a map. We would stay here again when in Hong Kong. Pity we were here for one night. It is a fraction of the cost of hotels of the same standard.

The staff are trainees guided by a supervisor. Their positive attitude and diligence make them stand out from other training hotels and hotels in general.

The room is spacious for Hong Kong standards and thoughtful gestures such as turn down service and bath toys are appreciated.

The hotel is not the most convenient in location but there is a shuttle bus running on weekday mornings to Central. Beware of taxis that will take you the long way to your destination to boost the fare. For example through Central to Causeway Bay and likewise through Causeway Bay to Central. We had a shifty taxi driver that took us to Hong Kong airport express MRT through Causeway Bay then charge us an extra $40 for 2 pieces of luggage and tolls, for what should have been a $80 fare including luggage surcharge.
