“A bit different but really nice rooms and super service from ultra keen trainees.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2013

Short $hk 70 taxi ride from downtown. Standard rooms are spacious and very well equipped with some touches. Very comfy bed, very important after long flight.

Go for an ocean view room. Exc view. Gym and room service all fine too.

Remember all Staff are training but are well supervised. 100% recommended and I stay in hotels a lot

Try to find a better deal in HK will be difficult !!!
Students staff are very professional & friendly.
A bit far from the airport, but everything is easy in HK with taxi.
I found this hotel thoughTripadvisor, but I would like to keep it secret as long as possible. Amazing view, good services, I will come back definitively.

They're doing great things at this hotel. As with the training hotel I stayed at in Macao, I've become a big fan of these kinds of properties. The T Hotel really does raise the bar though, if only for sheer value. This is especially in a city where the average hotel room not only costs a bomb but is the size of a shoe box and hasn't been renovated for a decade. The T Hotel room we stayed in was brand new, was facing the ocean with an absolutely gorgeous view, sun streaming in the window all the time... not to mention the room was plenty big enough for our family of three with a one year old who likes to tear about. Even the minibar was stocked with f&b that cost the same as it would from the local 7-elevens. So the rooms were fab. And then you get the breakfast included which is excellent quality - varied and changes a bit every day, and - this is the best bit - they have an absolutely fabulous glass balcony that overlooks the Pok Fu Lam harbour. Sitting there in the morning sunshine eating a great breakfast and drinking fresh coffee... every morning you just find yourself smiling with the realization that you wouldn't rather be anywhere else. Good job T Hotel!
A word on Pok Fu Lam - yes not in the centre of the city but yes it is just about 10 minutes taxi drive most of the time. One driver seemed to take a long route over the peak but it was a lovely drive so what the hey. The free bus the hotel provides is great. It's nice and quiet in Pok Fu Lam. Not a lot of small restaurants or shops. There's a place called (I think) Cyberport with a Le Meridien just a stones throw away (30 mins winding walk, 3 minute car) with some shops and cafes. Also a McDonalds and small shopping center about 10 mins from the hotel that closes about 10pm. So don't expect the all-night dining you can find in the city.
What else? Ah a word on service. Mostly A-grade. And it is true that since the staff are all working towards getting into the industry (studying hospitality degrees) or are actually so good at their job they're teaching it, you get constantly heartfelt, genuine service. A couple of language stumbles from our bellboy when I tried enquiring about local food options, but hey it was a bit of an unusual question I suppose. Brilliant hotel! Wouldn't imagine staying elsewhere in HK!

My family recently enjoyed a week long stay at the T Hotel in Hong Kong. Expectations were high based on the glowing reviews that we had read on Trip Advisor and I'm pleased to say that it lived up to the hype. We were travelling with 2 small children in tow and arrived at the hotel via limousine transfer (organised by the hotel) late in the evening. The check-in process went very smoothly and the staff were kind enough to complete all the necessary paperwork for us in our room so that we could put the children to bed immediately. We were absolutely gobsmacked by the view when we opened the curtains in the morning. We stayed in one of the suites at the hotel and it was beautifully appointed. There was plenty of space in the bedroom to accommodate the cot and foldable bed for the children plus it was lovely to have a kitchenette and living room as well. We made good use of the Nespresso machine in our room too. Breakfast in the dining room was a real highlight for us. The food was delicious and there was a lot of variety to choose from. The staff were incredibly friendly and were very sweet with the children, even when they were making a terrible mess. We made good use of the free shuttle service to Central but on the days when this wasn't available, it was also very easy to either take one of the many buses that runs past the hotel or to take a taxi which was very cheap.
Much has been said in other reviews of the language barrier that exists with many of the students at the hotel. This was particularly apparent with understanding requests made over the phone but I was always passed onto one of the instructors fairly quickly so it wasn't a problem - just don't expect to sort anything out over the phone in a hurry. Given the amazingly low price associated with staying at this hotel, this certainly shouldn't put anyone off. The students were all very friendly and eager to help. Their instructors were very good at keeping an eye on their charges and we have nothing but praise for the wonderful T Hotel. Hope to stay there again in the future. Many thanks.

Room Tip: Suite 618 was superb

The T Hotel has to be experienced to be believed.
The whole concept is about training students for the growing needs of the Hong Kong hospitality industry and the training at T Hotel is completed to the very highest standards. Students are very keen to learn and work to excellent standards supervised by their tutors. Nothing is too much trouble for the trainees or their tutors at T hotel, you will even be escorted to the lift and the correct button pressed for you.

Breakfast is excellent with a wide range of items and the student chefs will cook eggs and omelettes exactly to your liking. Lunch and dinner menus offer choices of Asian and more western style dishes all at a very reasonable cost. The in room dining provision is also very good and reasonably priced.

The rooms and bathrooms are much larger than average hotel rooms. They are well equipped with everything you could possibly need and are very comfortable. Little extra touches such as the hand made biscuits and chocolates brought to the room in the evening and the cute little bath toys all add to the enjoyment of a stay at T Hotel.

The views across the ocean are truly amazing both in the daytime and at night and the sunsets are particularly memorable. Although a little out of town the hotel is easily accessable by public transport and the very helpful reception staff are happy to call a cab for you. Cabs are cheap and efficient.

A visit to. Hong Kong will be made even more enjoyable by staying at T Hotel, I cannot recommend it enough.

What a wonderful experience. No point in repeating what others have said but if you have a few days in Hong Kong and can get a booking; do it!

We arrived late on the A10 bus from the Airport. It stops at the Pok Fu Lam Village bus stop which is less than five minutes walk. There was no one other than the security guard at the front door but we were expected and were taken to the sixth floor where we were checked in. This was about 0100 (1am) after a two hour delay in our flight from Australia.

Apart from the final morning when we utilised the shuttle provided by the hotel to Hong Kong station for the Airport Express check in, we used normal public transport all the time.

If there was to be a criticism, and this has to be a little picky I must admit, the information about the buses TO the hotel (apart from the A10) isn't completely clear. So you could find yourself somewhere in town and not quite know where to catch the bus back!

From the Kowloon side, we found the 973 to be very convenient. It also continues to Stanley and is the best way to get from T Hotel to Stanley. (There are other options but they can be a little confusing or daunting to the visitor).

Quite by chance, on Monday night, after taking the Star Ferry to Central we came across the #22 public light bus. We hadn't used one before and an old man waiting for the bus started to chat (in English). We realised the bus went past Pok Fu Lam and he told the driver where we wanted to get off. An absolutely amazing experience that took us along all these narrow streets in the Mid Levels.

The breakfast at the T Hotel is amazing and the views are beyond description but be prepared for fog and smog so if you're staying a few days and it's clear and you have your camera in hand seize the opportunity!

The staff are unpaid students. They are delightful and try ever so hard (under strict supervision). Some are more outgoing than others. Their appearance and presentation is immaculate (as is everything else around the hotel).

We had a problem with tea bags not having been restocked one day and called reception to ask for some more. It was mid evening and seemed all "too hard" (because of the limited English spoken) so we never saw our additional tea bags. But that was hardly a worry.

Room Tip: Ask for an ocean view room; ours was 603 and was wonderful.

My wife and I stayed at the T Hotel for a week during January 2013 and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the hotel.

We stayed in room 610 which was a very nice room which had a great view out over the bay below. However, while the hotel overall was very quiet the room itself could have quite a lot of noise intrusion. This was coming from the level above and not directly attributable to the hotel. while this was not a problem for us but it could be for someone who is a light sleeper.

The staff at the hotel are students and it is important to keep this in mind when booking. In this respect the service recieved will be directly related to the experience the students have. We enjoyed interacting with the students and found every one of them to be pleasant and extremely helpful.

Breakfast is very good with lots of choice. We also had dinner in the hotel twice and it was also good.

Getting to and from the hotel is very simple. From the airport there are a number of options including taxi, bus or train. We travelled by the Airport Express train to Hong Kong Central. Then by taxi to the hotel. Total travel time was about 35 minutes.

Travelling around from the hotel is also easy. There is a bus stop at the entrance to the complex and there are frequent buses.. The hotel staff will also call a taxi if required. Likewise returning to the hotel is simple. The cost of a bus to Hong Kong Central is around £0.50. While The same trip in a taxi is around £5.00.

We would recommend the T Hotel.
