“Great food but way overpriced”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 29, 2012 via mobile

We ordered a mixture of sushi and sashimi, with some tempura as well. The sashimi was excellent, with very carefully matched sauces. The sushi was served as-is without anything other than soy sauce or ginger to pair it with. Tempura was excellent, we also ordered desserts which were surprisingly tasty and cutely presented. I had mandarin sorbet which was served inside a frozen mandarin skin casing. My husband had coconut icecream which was served in a half coconut shell. Both were delicious! Often we are disappointed with Japanese desserts so we were happy to have tasty offerings. The service was without fault. My tea was never empty and wait staff very attentive to sauce changes for sashimi courses.
The disappointing part of the dinner was the bill, $2000HK. We were expecting it to come to a lot less - maybe $1500, but we arent the type of couple to make a fuss so we paid and left. It really made us feel like we had been ripped off. We wanted mixed sushi and sadhimi - according to menu $450HK per person. Ours totalled $700hk each which was the deluxe pricing - but with each item listed individually not as a "set" so added the extra $500 to the total. If not for this we would have given four stars. Would recommend to come here but be very clear about what you are ordering so you dont get stung.

“Extremely fresh sashimi ....to die for....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2010

My husband 's boss (who is extremely high standards for Japanese food) highly recommends this place. We came here for our 10th wedding annivesary after a very busy working day.....to be exact 9pm.

The decor looks like a small Japanese restaurant. Nothing to scream about. BUT the sashimi deluxe was so fresh that it rivals Tsukiji market. This was the saving grace of our busy day.....and we spent only HK$700.00 for 5 dishes.

Even the california roll is different. The quality belongs to an upmarket restuarant. The tempura prawn is light and tasty....yummy. Even the chicken wing is unique..

I would definitely return to this restaurant again!!
There is not a single dish which we do not like .....even the crab roe salad is unique!!
