“Frequent traveller to Hong Kong”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2012

I come to Hong Kong many times a year and find the bus tour an excellent way to relax and remind myself what an amazing city this is.

I travel all around the world with little time to explore, however I always find that the Big Bus tours are the best way to see the sites and also have the best tours.

I thoroughly recommend this experience, not just in Hong Kong but wherever Big Bus have tours.

Rob

“48 hours of Good value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2012

The 48 hour ticket on Big Bus Tours is really good value. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the multi-lingual commentary on head phones is informative. The deluxe tour includes a day tour of Victoria Harbor on Star Ferries, cross harbor ferry tickets, three different tour routes, tickets on the funicular up to Victoria Peak and a night tour. Highly recommended.

“Fantastic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2012

The bus was great. 3 different tours in nOne with a free harbour cruise and tram ride to the peak. Excellent staff service at both main offices and all stops. I've done other bus tours but this was the best. The city really lends itself to them plus it's better than walking in the heat!!!

“An excellent way to get around and learn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2012

We used Big Bus tours in Hong Kong and Shanghai. The tour (with the included multilingual narrative) was very informative and was an excellent way to get your bearings before focussing on areas and attractions that may interest you further. The flexibility of leaving and returning to the bus throughout the day made it compatible with those who have a plan beforehand also.

“Great way to see all of HK with toddlers”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2012

We would do it again. There was so much included it was hard to do it all in one day (we had 24 hrs). 3 bus tours, a ferry ride, a sampan ride, a tram ride & a night tour. We actually did not do the night tour and luckily you can use the tram a different day, because we went early the next morning. We also did not get off at any stops, which was okay with toddlers, but if you are wanting to get off, go 48 hours! We had 2 kids and they loved it. We went on a Saturday and there was some traffic, I cant imagine a weekday!

The only suggestions I have is :
1. They need starting times for all stops, we waited for an hour at stop 11 in Hong Kong and finally took a taxi to stop 1 where we were told it starts there at 9:30am so wouldn't be at stop 11 until 10:45am. Helpful to know before we get there!

2. The Star Ferry staff took both our tickets saying it was one way only and refused to even read it. He said to talk to the Bus Tour Company about it. We did and they gave us another one, but agreed it was return.

3. The repetition was a bit much on the commentary & the same music over and over again in traffic was irritating, but other then that very informative.

4. Put kids ages on the buying ticket page of your website. We had to get a refund because there was no info and in the end we didnt need to buy our 3 yr old a ticket. Having it on the FAQ page is useless. They did give us a refund fairly quickly.

5. Agree with comment the Kowloon stop is no where near the Ferry and the directions to get there is terrible, we wondered around for awhile. As a matter of fact most locations you get the bus from are not very well indicated. Some kind of pole or sign at each stop would be very helpful.

New Territories was our favourite and you could read more of our review on our blog travelwithbender (dot) com.
