“Lovely accommodation but disappointing food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2013

The inn is at a great location overlooking the beach, it was particularly nice sitting out on the balcony, putting your feet up and just soak up the lovely view and sunshine. The room was small but cosy and very clean with all the essential amenities. Staff are very friendly and helpful which helped to make the stay very pleasant.

While the restaurant setup is very nice with comfy sofas and marquees, the food was not really up to scratch. The price was pretty much hotel price but not really the quality. I suspected there was only 1 chef so it took rather long for the food to arrive and when they did, the dishes came one at a time (so people in our group needed to eat in sequence...). Some of the food wasn't hot enough. It wasn't so bad that I needed to return the dishes but I would certainly have gone elsewhere if I had the choice - which I didn't unless I wanted to walk 25 mins to the pier (and back) in the summer heat. I'd suggest going there for drinks only.

We stayed one night in this hotel, it is a 25 mins walk from the pier and not particularly easy to find, but if you follow the road signs to the beach you would find it alright.
We had a lovely weekend here, the hotel is situated right next to the beach which is really convenient if you want a dip in the sea! The hotel even provided extra beach towels and slippers which was very thoughtful.
Our room has a private balcony and the view is really lovely.
We ordered the candle light dinner, the food was excellent and very romantic as well.
The hotel also provide a range of DVD for free rental which again was very thoughtful.
It may not be the most luxurious hotel but it's definitely the best in lamma island, although it was quite basic, it provided a comfortable stay. The hotel staffs were friendly and thoughtful. The only downside was that the room was a bit on the tiny side.

We stayed in this hotel for one night. If you are looking for a nice and quite time away from the hustle bustle of Honk Kong ... You must visit Lamma's Island.
It takes 20 minutes from the ferry pier and a nice walk (family trail) to get to this hotel. Here you can enjoy a sandy beach, fresh air, and good food from their restaurant. We had a very romantic dinner as we booked for a Candle Light Dinner.
Our room had a full sea view balcony, it was nice but a little bit tiny for three especially if you are not used to HK's standard, anyway it was comfortable. The only problem we had was the other guests noisy toilet but nothing serious.

Room Tip: Our room (executive front beach) had a wonderful view. If you are not used to honk kong's standa...

When my friend and I were looking for accomodation on Lamma Island online, there was not much choice so we decided to book a garden room in Concerto Inn, because it looked okay. And okay it was. Nothing fancy, but it did the trick for two nights. The bathroom was a bit old, but quite spacious and there was enough space in the room as well. We did not put an extra bed in the room like we had intended though, because that would have made the room too cramped. It was nice to have our own little terrace and it was also convenient that breakfast was included. It was nothing special, but if you consider it fuel to keep you going for a couple of hours it's okay. The staff is friendly and the location on the beach is nice even though the beach is only small. We also liked the little town Yueng Shu Wan, had good lunches in the Bookworm café and Green Café. I would recommend this island and hotel if you're looking for a nice getaway from Hong Kong. A word of advice: if you've got a suitcase with you, think about using the transportation service of the hotel (free when you stay a minimum of two nights). It is quite a stroll from the harbour to Concerto Inn (at least 20 minutes) and it will be quite a struggle with suitcases.

This is a small hotel along the hiking trail on Lamma Island. It was about a 15 minute walk from the ferry, along sidewalks/paved paths. You could wheel a small suitcase, but it'd be a long way to wheel a suitcase. Backpacks were fine though. Hotel greeted us and made it easy to check in. Not fancy, but it had all the basics. It's basically in a jungle area on a beach, and it fits with that profile. Like other reviewers said, the bed was hard. But the A/C worked and the shower was great and we had no complaints. The free breakfast was easy to get, but was pretty awful. We opted for the Western breakfast though. Maybe the Chinese breakfast is the better bet. Was glad we hiked back into the little town for dinner the night before, because that food was AMAZING (best I had the whole trip). Overall, quiet, easy country getaway, right on the beach. Wouldn't want to stay there a long time, but was fine for an overnight trip out of the city. Ended up hiking to the other ferry port in the morning, which made for a nice complete, quick trip of Lamma Island.

Room Tip: We were on the first floor and got the mid-size room. Wouldn't go for the smaller one. Could b...

Stayed here while visiting Family on Lamma. Small but clean room, comfortable bed, nice bathroom. Wasn't expecting the amenities that are common in the U.S., so not disappointed. Did notice that doors were thin. Other guests were considerate so noise was not a problem. Third floor option was worth the extra $$, nice ocean breeze and great balcony view. Caution: hotel is quite a trek from the ferry, and could be a problem for older folks with mobility challenges. Path is completely paved, but there are several hills, up and down. After dragging luggage was stowed we actually found the walk relaxing. And being located right on a public beach was wonderful. Limited breakfast options but always delicious (beware the ham...more like Spam!) Will be our first choice if we visit again.

Room Tip: Rooms vary greatly in size. We were fine with a tiny room since we spent lots of time with our fami...
