I Had stayed here 2 years back and wanted to stay here again due to great location and services i had received previously.
However, this time round, im Terribly disappointed by their services, we were asked to wait 2 hours before our rooms were prepared and after 2 hours (coming back from our lunch) we were asked to wait for a further hour. The staff do not look apologetic about having us waiting, and when i went forward to ask her whether our room was ready, she just brush me off by saying that the housekeeper will inform her when its ready and asked us to wait at the lobby.

Okay, it seems absolutely that normally guest have to wait but given the attitude just made me rather angry about it.


Also, the air-con was spoilt. It was rather cold this few days therefore we had to turn up the temperature to 25 degree BUT there was no difference if you adjust it to 16 or 30 degree. Called up the housekeeping, they just send up a heater which does not help at all. I told the person that the aircon is spoilt, however he say its cold so there's nothg he can do about it.
I was just rather upset about the stay this time round and would probably avoid staying here the next time round.

Another negative point is that you could hear clearly what is your neighbours doing in their bathroom and also the corridor. Its kinda hard to sleep in when that happens.

Well located in the centre of Kowloon, the Cityview is easy walking distance to the night markets, and very convenient for the subway. Staff were extremely helpful and the rooms comfortable and well equipped, though small. The more athletic will appreciate the park just across the road (and up the hill) for their early morning exercise. Perfect for our 3-night stopover on the way to Australia.

I thought the room was considered big in HK context. There was just enough room for two of us with our two luggage. We were placed on the 17th floor; corridor was clean and lift lobby even smelled of cologne. Ensuite bathroom was adequate but don't expect to use the bathtub unless you're Asian size (which I am, and I still find it small). Room was cleaned and made up by each night when we return. So no complains. Everything in the room worked.

Service was basic. The receptionist spoke to us in Cantonese even though we initiated the check-in in English. That was rude but we let it go after she swiftly changed to English upon seeing our blank faces. The bellboy's face flashed irritation when we asked to take our luggage along with us to our rooms instead of waiting for them to send up to us. (I mean, what's the point when it's only ONE luggage for each of us?!). But otherwise, he didn't comment much. For the price I paid, I would have expected better service, but hey, we're on holiday, let's not make each other lives difficult.

Location was excellent. You will probably end up using the back door (where the drop off point is) more often as it is nearer to the MTR exit (just round the corner). Also just opposite are 24hours convenience stores: 7-11 and K-Circle. Also right opposite is a cha chaan teng that seems to be always crowded. Food was average to me though. And if you're thinking of queuing for the Michelin-starred Tim Ho Wan, the hotel is just a 5-7 minutes walk away (exit by the front and go pass the hospital, and turned the corner).

Terrible service! Unfriendly staff who just want to deal with your queries as quickly as possible. The air-con was broken and when staff at reception were approached several times they simply handed the problem over to someone else who kept on denying that the air-con was broken. Such dodgy service and equipment. Bell boy also did not deserve his tip. He said he would go and ask for help when asked about the air-con but nobody was sent up to the room for assistance....Also, when you first check-in staff do not ask if you would like a room in a smoke-free zone. I was not asked this and was placed in a smoking area which was extremely uncomfortable! Would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone!
