“Very good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2012

I went with my better half on a Sunday and had their set lunch. It's very good. 3 courses for less than 150 HKD, very good value for money. Very fresh ingredients. And a yummy waffle with cream and chocolate sauce for desert. It's a bit hard to find. Get off the bus at the main Stanley bus terminal. Walk down towards the market, down Stanley main street. Walk past the Watsons pharmacy on your left. Then past the 7/11 convenience store on your left. On your left will be some steps going up. Go up the steps and into the alleyway. And Lucy's is about 10-20m further ahead on your right.

“Another very good meal at Lucy's”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2012

We took a guest to Lucy's recently and similar to past meals, we quite enjoyed the three lunch dishes and desserts that we tried. As such, we will continue to have meals here in the future and feel comfortable bringing our guests to this fine restaurant choice in Stanley.

During our last meal, we tried three dishes. We first tried the Goat’s Cheese, Roast Pumpkin and Chili jam Tart with Olive & Rocket (HK$110) that, in typical Lucy’s style, was a create, innovative combination of flavors that was much enjoyed by two members of our party. It was a fusion treat (rating 4 of 5). We next tried the Smoked Salmon, Asparagus, Soft Boiled Egg & Crispy Parma Ham Salad, which is more of a salad meal instead of a light salmon meal with salad. This was a good, light, but solidly tasting dish (rating 3.5 of 5). Lastly, one member of our party had one of the three course Set Menu meals (HK$190), which included a mushroom and chestnut soup (rating 4 of 5), Chicken, Prune, Leek and Almond Risotto, as main, that was just wonderful (rating 4.5 of 5). Dessert choice was a Raspberry and White Chocolate Trifle that was quite good (rating 3 of 5).

For our other desserts, we sampled the Pecan Pudding and toffee sauce, which was just excellent (rating 5 of 5), a special dessert. We also had the chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream, that while not our favorite type of dessert, was very nice (rating 3.5 of 5).

Overall, another great lunch here, not the best meal we have had at Lucy's but easily good enough to have us coming back for more. This remains one of the few places in Hong Kong we are comfortable taking guests, where we know things wont go wrong.

“A Great Respite from Shopping in Stanley”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2012

Lucy's is an institution in Stanley, in my humble opinion. It's been around for about 20 years, if I'm not mistaken. The food is consistent and so is the service.
If you are a local resident, it is a favorite haunt. If you are a tourist, you get a window on the local expat life and you get treated nicely after a hard (& fun) day shopping in Stanley market. It has no view but when you feel so relaxed the minute you walk in. The restaurants on the waterfront don't compare, in my view, to Lucy's.
Order the pecan pudding and you will thank me! The lemon pudding and chocolate dessert are also both "to die for." The lunch specials are always a good deal. Everything is Stanley is pricey but Lucy's lunch special is a good deal.
If you are visiting HK, you may want to buy a copy of Lucy's cookbook and try the recipes at home. Be confident that Lucy's is not a touristy restaurant but one that is constantly patronized by the people who live in the Stanley/Repulse Bay area. Bon appetit!

“Feel home, great food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2012 via mobile

Looking for a quiet time, good food without all the fuss you could get in a French restaurant.
The only solution in Stanley for "something more than tourist food".
Pricing is excellent.

“Very disappointed - it used to be great.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2012

4 of us went to Lucy's on Tuesday night (and had been looking forward to the meal for weeks. I have been in the past and have always had a wonderful experience.
I will say I was quite happy with my souffle (starter) and roasted pumpkin risotto (main), although presentation wise it would have looked better in a bowl with parmesan shavings. The rest of the group had mixed feelings on their choices. The lamb and beef (main) was rather average for Lucy's and the ravioli (main) had to be sent back as it didn't taste fresh, we were told it had been prepared at lunch time and my friend said it tasted like Chinese fish balls! It was replaced with an average but this time eatable carbonara. We shared desserts, the lemon (can't remember the name) was very good the banoffe pie again not up to much. The whole experience lacked anything special or wonderful. My friend who had the ravioli was ill with food poisoning the next day. Sadly I won't be returning. It has lost it's edge. Very disapponiting.
