Located conveniently in Central on Hollywood Road, Jashan is now opened, serving up creative curries and sumptuous kebabs. Hailing from the beautiful hillstations of Kodaikanal, Chef Asif has trained with the best under the five-star Taj group. He has worked in establishments such as The Park Hyderabad in India. Like his father who has mastered the art of Indian cuisine, this second generation chef has focused his heart in the fusion of contemporary Indian. After completing school in Delhi in 2003, he joined the Taj Palace and had the experience of serving high profile guests. He then joined a contemporary Indian fine dining restaurant in Dubai before coming to Hong Kong. Jashan serves a sumptuous lunch buffet daily, incorporating some of the restaurant’s favorite dishes. Pop by for an afternoon High Tea Set, offered for the very first time in Hong Kong. The lights get dim for dinner time and out come the romantic candles.Seating up to 75 guests, Jashan’s menu includes classic curries such as Chicken Tikka Masala and Chef Asif’s innovation such as Bagare Baingan, baby aubergines cooked in nutty Indian gravy, and the Patte ki Macchi, seared pomfret fillet wrapped in banana leaf that keeps guests coming back for more.

Had ordered food from this place during my stay in HKG over XMas / New Year 2012/13. Wonderful food, service as committed. Highly recommended for Indian food.

“Decent Indian place for HONG KONG”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2013

Having lived in London most of my life, have a very unique view on Indian food. (i.e. England has perfected Indian food in my opinion!)

The food here is decent, and overall much better than its Rival Bombay Dreams.

Albeit we haven’t tried many different dishes, we have kept to the same dishes with each visit as they tend to be of an acceptable taste.

Overall I would come back more often than not. Probably the best Indian in Hong Kong that I have tried so far.

Service is good, not as bad as I’ve seen in some Indian places!

“Worst dining experience in HK”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2013

Dinner last night
Food was sad... Biryani was lumpy and sour just like the Lassi my wife ordered... Chkn tikka masala was average...
One of their managers dropped a glass a RED WINE on me while clearing the table next to mine!!
Spoilt my shirt, behaved as if nothing had happened and did not even apologize..
I posted my feedback on their fb page and it was deleted (twice) within 30mins :)
Jashan is best avoided!!!

“The best indian lunch buffet in Hong Kong”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

I've been there twice, the first time it was months ago (February, with some friends) and the last time was just a few days ago. I've tried the buffet offer for lunch and it was awesome! I love Indian food and that was perfect for me!The only feedback I could give is that maybe a little bit more of variety would definitely help them to reach the full 5 stars on everything. The atmosphere was ok, lots of business men going there for lunch, but also a few families (including mine). The service is really ok, quick, kind, and helpful.
Definitely one of my best places to go to in Hong Kong.

“Great Lunch Buffet”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2013 via mobile

I was a bit hesitant about going to another Indian buffet after not enjoying 'Gaylord Indian' in Mongkok. But this was an entirely different standard. There are a range of starters, followed by many curries (4 vegetarian) and the best naan bread i've had. The chefs come over and explain qhat all the dishes are and are very helpful. I also enjoyed the desserts especially the carrot halwa. Buffet was great value, definitely worth the trip.
