The 2 best things about this hotel are its location and the comforts of the room. It's located within walking distance to the Xiaoshenzi (line 1) and Linjiangmen (line 2) metro/light rail stations, as well as the Jiefangbei pedestrian area, malls with nice restaurants, and bars and more casual restaurants along the river. We also appreciated having a kitchenette in our studio room, and a separate, albeit small couch to watch TV on. It made it much more comfortable to hang out in and relax in the evenings.
Other pros: clean room, good water pressure in the shower, decent view, good service, western and Chinese breakfast buffet choices, and best of all, free and strong wi-fi in the lobby AND room. They also had HBO, National Geographic, TV5, and other great satellite TV channels.
The only 2 cons were that the hotel couldn't find our reservation made through hotels.com, which was a bit of a hassle, and that our non-smoking room smelled of smoke. It was faint, but when I woke up in the mornings I could smell smoke in my hair. And this is very minor but important for people who debate whether to bring their own shampoo/conditioner - the shampoo provided smelled nice but made my hair very dry.
Overall, we had a great stay at this hotel and would do so again if ever in Chongqing.
