Based on the reviews of trip advisor me and my friend decided to eat at thhe Passby Bar, wish we would have passed it by.
When we entered the restaurant alle of the waiters were standing together playing games or reading stuff on their smartphones. We almost felt like interupting when we asked for a seat. We were pointed in the direction of the terrace where we choose our seat.
The terrace overlooked the little street below, which was the only positive thing about pass by for me. We had to wait for a long time to be served, after which we just started waving widly at the waiters to attract their attention. Finally one of them came, but then an english speaking waiter had to be found who seemed to was in a hurry to take our orders so that he probably could continue his smartphone games.
My friend ordered some pasta and I ordered a pizza. The pasta was oke as my friend told me (although he had some doubts about the freshness of the saus), but the pizza was way below avarege, even a supermarket pizza tastes way better. The crust is very thick and could have used some time in the oven (it didn;t taste like finished dough) and the ingredients they use aren't the best eather. Also the amount of ingredients was dissapointing. I could choose 4 ingredients, but of most of the ingredients I could only find 1 or 2 pieces. It was just a lot of cheese and tomato sause.
Overall I would not recommand this restaurant, especially for the prices they ask (for a regular pizza 88 RMB). You can get much much better food for much less money throughout Beijing.
Perhaps I should just have gone for only some beers and no food.
