Just came back from staying at Majesty Hotel Beijing for 5 nights. They never change the bedsheet n comforter. They gave me not proper towel. The menu breakfast is same everyday. The staff is not friendly n the poor thing is they cannot dont understand simple English.

The location is not bad, failrly close to the subway station and with several restaurants and other shops in the vicnity. The rooms are smallish, but adequate. The bathrooms are nice, good plumbing and a nice bathtub. The towels are too thin though.
The staff speaks not a word of English, though you can sometimes find someone in the reception who can. They are fairly attentive ot your needs once you can make yourself understood. The breakfast was adequate, though not great.
It apparently caters mainly to domestic tourists and is not really geared to International tourists.

It was on my University trip tour on early winter last year. the room was okay. They changed the towel and never miss to woke us up everyday as requested. They cant really understand English. The location was fine to me.. near to convenience store, McD, Massage house, KTV, etc.. nothing great about the breakfast. staffs were not really friendly.. like they always tried to avoid a conversation. overall, it was just nice..

Lucky it was a company trip tour. If not i wouldn't choose this place to stay. Location wise is very far out from every needs. The air-con did not work well especially night time, so slept with sweats all over the bed all night during my stay, far out worst the receptionist being rude to me few times when i attempt to ask and buy mineral water from the counter. Daily breakfast were very terrible too. I will never go to this hotel again. WORST!

We stayed here from Sep 24-26, 2011 on a packaged tour. Since the tour package is cheap our expectations were not that high. The lobby is decent, typical of a budget hotel and at least one from the reception can understand/speak English (with difficulty) and they are polite and friendly enough. The rooms are clean and just the right size, the beds are a bit lumpy but forgivable. They claim to have renovated in 2009 but it wasn't evident at all. The bathroom is also clean but you will notice right away that there's water leaking from the back of the toilet. Apparently, the hotel already knows as there was a sign saying "Caution: Wet Floor". When we went back to the hotel after a whole-day trip, almost the entire floor is wet and the towel mat was soaked.
But the real deal breaker is the service. Since we are 3 in one room, I needed an extra pillow and towel. I called housekeeping (which is difficult because the room directory is in Chinese) and as expected, they couldn't understand what I was saying. So my roommate went to the reception carrying a pillow and towel. They understood but no one came that night. The next morning at 6am, I went to the reception to follow up the extra towel and said I would wait for it there. The receptionist made a call then informed me that the towel will arrive at 9am! I couldn't wait for it since we have to leave at 7.30. Luckily, my other roommate brought her own towel so I was able to use the hotel towel (which looks old). When we came back at night, the extra towel still wasn't there and I already gave up on it.
The breakfast is not foreigner-friendly. The orange juice was warm and the water dispenser was not very visible and there's no cold water on it. The food is unfamiliar and not very continental save for some bread and the eggs. The mashed potato was too watery, it's almost a soup. The watermelon saved my meal.
The location is good as it is near the city center and there are nearby food establishments and stores. However, I will suggest to look for a better hotel.
