A chance find just off the Lama Temple area, in a lovely quiet hutong lane. When I came in they were in the middle of their "French corner", a regular activity allowing people to practice French for free, and I was immediately invited to join in. People were extremely welcoming. I especially enjoyed the atmosphere, it's a small cozy place and all the decorations are Swiss themed, all red and white and mountains and cows, but somehow not at all cheesy, just homely and pleasant. I'd never tried Swiss milk tea before - turns out it is the owner's invention, and a very good one, too! Mountain herbs and rich Swiss cow's milk, an unusual combination and definitely worth a try.
