“Great Location-3.5 stars”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2013

Super convenient location within walking distance of Tiananmen square & wangfujin shopping area. The bathroom is large & shower had hot water. The bed is a bit on the hard side. Wireless worked fine. Vacuum cleaners are not made in China, I left crumbs on the carpet which stayed with me for the duration. Breakfast is nice with lots of choice and an omelet station.

This hotel was worth it, especially since my friends and I were on a budget. Functional hotel with a fantastic location. Room and bathroom were big enough for 3 people and they were also clean. We were 10 minutes walking distance away from everything -Tiananmen square, Forbidden City, the food market, the train, etc etc. Location was perfect, we just walked everywhere!

Days Inn is in the perfect location. Easy to walk to the night market, Wangfujung St & Tiannamen sq. room was a good price considering the location. Very comfortable beds & good shower. Staff were helpful and we left our luggage there for the whole day before getting the night train.

Definitely recommend it. Couple of small issues - wifi didn't work very well, someone came to fix it but we could only use it with the phone not the iPad. Also the guy taking us to our room asked for a tip. You just don't tip in China, it's not expected & people shouldn't ask.

Also remember about the 200 RMB deposit you need to pay in cheaper Chinese hotels. You'll get it back at the end of your stay if you keep the receipt.

Room Tip: We stay on the ground floor which was very quiet.

Days Inn is good enough for the budget conscious traveler. As it was mention in previous review its location is unbeatable for the price you pay.i agree with the rooms being small specially if you reserved the budget room located in the basement.Yet I find the room comfortable enough to sleep-in.Customer service is commendable for housekeeping, room boys except for front desk.I think if front desk people can speak even a little english it will be a big plus. Buffet breakfast is superb with choices of asian & american dishes..TIP-there are several small restaurants & stores nearby where you can buy food, drinking water and basic necessities.

The hotel was excellent for a good base in Beijing. 5 mins from forbidden city and tianamen sq. 3 mins walk from 2 metro stations which can get to most tourist spots. carpets need cleaning in rooms but if you are just looking for somewhere to rest your head and explore beijing then its excellent value. hotel is 5 min walk to the night food marketwhich is a must see. taxi's cheap but metro best value (1 euro for 4 people to any location one way). breakfast is expensive but you are playing for western convenient options. dinner was not good in hotel. many better choices off the night market street. staff were ok.

Room Tip: Hotel on a little quiet side street and hard to find so have the phone number of the hotel and the n...

My 2 kids and I stayed at this hotel for 2 days, the most awful experience of all our trip.
First of all the customer services is so bad no one can imagine, concerning the room when they gave it to us was dirty, the rugs completely old and dirty, there was no soap in the bathroom, the internet does not work even though we were told that was accessible , in general terms I do not recommend this hotel to anybody ....no one deserves the nightmare we suffer

Booked the room online a month before our trip in late March. Upon arrival and after waiting for 20mins to check in, the front desk staff handed us the key to a small room in the older section at the basement with no view / window which was rather disappointing as we required assistance to carry our luggage down the many stairs to the room which was rather inconvenient for my hubby who has knee problem.
Old décor in the room with the very basic facility, quite clean except shower recess still needed some scrubbing. Overall it was alright for 2 nights’ stay as it’s conveniently located close to all amenities including the tourist attractions, shopping centres and subway. Front desk staff was always busy so need to be patient waiting for your turn to be served.

Room Tip: Rooms in building next to the reception are newer.
