“Exceptional service, extraordinary hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2014

Two of us spent four days here recently as part of a China tour. From the minute we were greeted at reception with wet towels and water until our departure, this hotel exceeded every expectation for comfort and customer service. The dining buffet selections are endless, the rooms are large with the upscale amenities one would expect from a hotel of this caliber.

Staff are either native English speakers or with an excellent command of the language. We also visited the in house Italian restaurant, Cepe and enjoyed a wonderful dinner.

For the shoppers, there is a large upscale mall directly attached to the back of this hotel for easy access. Visit the food store on the bottom floor, it's worth a walk through to look at the various selection of fruits and veggies not found in the US.

The Chef and Assistant Manager are readily visible daily and interact well with guests.
Best service I have experienced while traveling.

With a recent visit to Beijing had the occasion to stay at the Ritz Carlton Financial Street The accommodations were first rate , but the person who made this stay remarkable was Rory the assistant manager. From arrival to departure he was helpful and made you feel at home, not the thousands of miles that you were. I would recommend this for anyone in Beijing

Stayed at this hotel many many times for business.
Great location especially when you are visiting the financial street.
The rooms are big and very impressive.
Definitely choose the Ritz Carlton on Financial St than the one in Chaoyang district which is much older with much smaller frooms

This hotel is top notch from the amazing rooms, to personal tea service in your room, to the dining options our stay here was fantastic. At the time we were there the chef on staff was american and would come out to speak with the dinners during the heavy traffic times to see if we were all happy and if we had any special requests. The hotel also has my aunts birthday on file and had a cake waiting in the room for us one night. The other nights we also has treats waiting for us which was a nice touch.

Room Tip: We were with a large group and did not hear any complaints about the rooms

The Ritz-Carlton Financial Street is a top ten hotel not just in China, but possibly in the world.Truely exceptional personal service. The management must be uniquely motivational--all the staff were warm, happy professionals. From the greetings at the front door, to the lobby tea/bar, to housekeeping, and restaurant; each and every staff person we interacted with was first rate with excellent language skills. The room was spacious, luxurious, and immaculate. The bath was enormous. Breakfast had great American food and Asian specialties buffet. The front desk and concierge were very helpful. It was easy to arrange transportation to all of the accessible sight-seeing spots. We stayed five nights and it seemed like we didn't want to leave. The Spa was amazing and excellent fitness center.

.This was our first stay at a Ritz-Carlton hotel and my wife and I stayed here for three nights as part of a Viking River Cruise – Imperial Jewels of China tour. The hotel lobby does not have the "WOW" factor as I experienced in entering the lobby of the Xi;an Hilton for instance but this lobby area was pleasant with a large public area with comfortable chairs and a small group in the evenings which performs live music. Down from the lobby is a banquet style restaurant with excellent choices at breakfast and dinner. serving western and Chinese dishes. One morning the table we were seated at ran out of Slenda sweetener. When I requested some from the wait staff, she got this worried look on her face and almost ran to the kitchen for the item. One evening I lost track of my wife and was walking along the long front desk and within three minutes two hotel staff approached me and said "Good evening. may I be of help". "Good evening, sir. Do you need some assistance". The service in all departments of this hotel was exceptional.

Our room was very large, with comfortable king bed and very modern bathroom. The room had all the amenities-coffee maker, iron, bathrobe and slippers, mini bar. (Hint: If you don't want to pay six dollars for a coke or $11.00-$12.00 for a can of local beer from the mini bar, take the hotel escalator down to the underground shopping mall. This is a very large mall with expensive shops but after about a 4 to 5 minute walk you will come a large grocery store selling cosmetics, medicines, clothes, fresh foods, snacks, soft drinks, beer and wine, e;g., beer for less than a dollar a can)

We had dinner at the hotel's Italian restaurant which had excellent service and food with a warm and dark decor and high ceilings along with high prices.

I would consider us seasoned travels but we usually stay in medium priced hotels not luxury ones. Nice to see how the other half lives. We loved our stay at this hotel.

The Ritz Carlton Beijing , excellent attention to detail, lovely airy rooms , huge bathrooms all well maintained, management regularly walk the establishment to ensure standards are maintained. Italian restaurant was superb, lobby area bright and airy, huge range of Teas, Bottle of wine in the restaurant, starts around £32.00 but is good quality this however can rise to over £2000.00 yes that's right so make sure you get the wine you ordered before opening. Good staff but check understanding as English Vocabulary is limited but staff are very friendly and could not be more helpful, would stay here again
