This restaurant is one of the most popular Szechuan (or Sichuan) restaurants in Beijing, so I think it's a shame that it has not been listed on TA before I started this review. If I'm not mistaken it has over 10 branch stores in the city, the one that I recently visited is the Ya Yun Cun store (111 Hui Zhong Bie li, Chao Yang District) which is one of the busiest out there, booking is usually necessary for lunch and diner tables otherwise expect to wait 40 minutes or so especially during weekends. Some smaller branch stores are less busy and no need to wait in most cases, like the one located near the China-Japan Friendship Hospital (Zhong Ri You Hao Yi Yuan).
Anyway, the food here is amazing and absolutely worth a try (if you like spicy dishes) and I do believe it is doubtlessly one of the best Sichuan restaurants in Beijing at least for now. Food selection is huge, I recommend that you go with their signature dishes, do try their famous Braised Pork Shank....so tasty just can't say enough with words. All dishes I've tried are well prepared and well presented as well, been over 4 years since my visit, never disappointed. Service is quite good but I think most staffs here speak nothing more than just a little bit English or can't speak English at all, good news is the menu does have English translation also the dishes are all photographed which makes it easy to choose and order for foreign visitors. Price is also reasonable, around $10-$15 per person.
