“Wonderful Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013

A beautiful hotel, luxurious, excellent service, staff very friendly and helpful, restaurant very clean and good service. A great location in the heart of Beijing, walking distance to Tiananmen square, just across from the Wangfujing metro station. If you are on vacation, a business trip, or moving to Beijing temporarily, I recommend it highly.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2013

We booked 2 studio apartment and stayed for 3 days at this hotel, stay in this hotel same as we stay in our home, the equipment is very complete with large refrigerator, washing machine, kitchen, dining table, living room, and even a toilet for guests.
While in the main room, we have a 5 star equipment with a jacuzi and a TV in the sink. Right next to the hotel there are many store and several restaurants.

The room was so big.. with 2 big LCD TV (one in living room, one in bedroom), and 3 air conditioning system.

The staff was very friendly and their english is good.

Wangfujing pedistrian area and wangfujing subway station just a few minutes walk from the hotel. Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square is also walking distance from the hotel, but if you want to go to Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square, and you don't want to walk, you can take a subway from Wangfujing Station near the hotel to Tiananment East or Tiananment West Station, very cheap, only 2 RMB per person.

Maybe a little difficult to catch a taxi from this hotel, because the hotel not located in the busy road, you need to walk a little bit to main wangfujing street to hail a taxi. But in our visit to Beijing, we never use the taxi, because they usually don't use the meter and ask for very high price, I don't like to bargain, just take a subway everywhere. The good point is, every tourist destination in Beijing have subway station, very convinient.

The area in front of the hotel is very quiet, you will doubt its safety, but don't afraid, this hotel is located in one of the safest areas in beijing. Precisely it is the value more of this hotel, you sleep in very quiet place.
I get a very reasonable price from one of online hotel booking website. I will definitely back to stay at this hotel in beijing, of course, if the price of a hotel room is not changed.

During our stay, we had some in room dining, not cheap, but the food is excellent.

We also rent a car from hotel for 8 hours, the driver will take us everywhere we want. With decent luxury Audi car, and with reasonable price.

Only as an input to management, you need to add some couches in the lobby, you have so spacious lobby, but only have couch with 8 persons.

And, during my stay, I ask for a lighter (for smoking) to the hotel service, that time maybe at 10 pm, but the staff told me that your housekeeping is duty off, and I can't get my lighter. I can understand that.

Dear Guest,

It is great honor to us that your family have a great time here in Beijing. Your great suggestion has been considered seriously by our management team. We have already set up several tea tables and chairs in our lobby.

As selected service apartments, we are somewhat different from full service hotel. The differences embody in our housekeeping is on duty until 10pm. Sorry for can't deliver the lighter for you.

We are always trying our best to make our apartmetns "home away from home". Welcome back, when you come to Beijing next time.

Good day, and all the best.

We are a family of 5 and found staying here excellent. There was 2 double beds and they put in an extra bed into the study area. There was a washing machine and, once you had asked for it, cutlery etc. Swimming pool was great but no shallow end. Right next door to night markets and restaurants and a 15 minute walk (for4yo) to Forbidden City. Hotel will arrange trip to Great Wall. However get hotel to arrange taxis to airport or train. A lot cheaper than a minibus! Overall v happy

5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2013

I recently stayed at the Imperial Mansion Marriott Beijing and this is by far the best hotel I have stayed at in Beijing and perhaps in most of Asia. With large "apartment style" rooms, they are very modern, clean and have ALL of the amenities of home (even a washer/dryer IN the room!) The location is walking distance to the Forbidden City, Tianenman Square as well as the central shopping area of Wangfujing. It is 1 street over from the famous "Stick Market" where you can get scorpions, starfish and seahorses (among other more tame offerings). For more temperate but delicious fare, the Oriental Mall across the street has a vast selection of offerings in the downstairs 'food court'. This is not your average Food Court and you have many ranges to choose from. You can also get classic Peking Duck at Dadong Restaurant in the building next door (6th floor). The service was unrivaled and the ONLY thing they do not have that most hotels offer is a 'business center' so be aware of this. That said your inroom desk, phone and internet serves most of the functions and the front desk allowed me to print something there. The Pool is amazing and the fitness center very technologically advanced. And a young woman named Alice was always there to offer a water and to offer encouragement when I really didn't want to work out! I cannot say enough good things about this place and I am still dreaming of the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in (and I stayed in the ShangriLa in HK last week as well as the Four Seasons in Shanghai, neither of which were as nice as the Marriott Imperial Mansion - Beijing).

Dear Guest,

It is great honor to us that you have a pretty fabulous experience here. We are always trying our best to make our apartmetns "home away from home". I feel so sorry to tell you that all the Marriott Executive Apartmetns' brand properties don't have business centre. However, most of the services business centre provide, our front office can also help our guests.

Welcome back next time, when you come to Beijing.

Good day, and all the best.

Stayed 4 nights, and they gave a night free every time you book 2 nights with them. Service was good, almost every staff spoke English. My room was very nicely done with the tub right smack in the middle of the bed room, in between your king sized bed and TV. Kitchen and living room included. Location could not be any better. Walking distance to Tianamen square, forbidden city and also a lengthy shopping street 2 mins away!! Great stay!

Stayed over 4 nights in Imperial Masion. The truly smile and great help made me feel like staying at home. Locatiion is one of the most important points when i pick a hotel, specially have trip at Beijing. In general, excellent service sense, brand new facilties and advantageous location were the matters i experienced at IM. By the way, they hide the star chef in dinning room, find him out!
