“Worth a look”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 25, 2013

The Confucius Temple is an interesting and different temple. In China you do not find many good condition Confucius temples - each town generally had one and the Cultural Revolution destroyed many of them. This one is the second biggest in China and worthy of some of your time. It is best combined with a visit to the Lama Temple as they are spitting distance from each other.

It is relatively quite there, so you can explore without feeling rushed or claustrophobic.

“Fine Temple well worth the time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2013

We visited this temple on the last day of our five days in Beijing. We were so glad that we did. . The grounds are immaculate, there were no crowds so viewing the various areas of the temple was easily done. We learned a lot about Confucius while enjoying the quiet atmosphere of the temple. The entry price is so cheap only 10 Renminbi that equals about US$1.65. Don not forget your camera for some memorable pictures.

“a slice of tranquility in busy beijing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2013

I rode my bike to the Lama temple one morning and the lines were so long that I decided to explore the neighborhood and ended up across the street at the Confucian Temple. I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of crowds. I was pretty much by myself and this was the height of tourist season. The grounds were beautiful and I enjoyed this tranquil spot in beijing.

“Confusius temple.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

A smaller temple in the street opposite to the Lama temple, it is a nice walk through an old street, you have to buy a ticket to enter, only 10 Renminbi, the trees inside the temple are very old and beautiful, the temple is also old but well maintained worth to pay a visit!

“2 for price of one!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2013 via mobile

So worth the visit, didn't know anything about Confucius till I came here, the east and west halls (visit in that order is best) are brilliant museums with displays showing the life and history of the man himself all in perfect English! And best of all you get access to the imperial college for free! Don't miss the room full of stone steles with the original txt from Confucius, the entrance for this room is kinda hidden but worth finding!
