The best part about my recent trip to Beijing was my stay at the Éclat. Every room and corridor showcased provocative art work from China to Europe. In fact, I took more pictures of my hotel than the rest of the city.
The food was fantastic. In fact two different clients of mine took me to the same restaurant in the Éclat, swearing it was the best place in the city for dumplings. Every morning I had a breakfast on the 16th floor that featured the best of East and West. Opera meanwhile served outstanding Italian food. I'm still thinking of the truffle tasting Opera held last weekend.
But the best part of the Éclat was my room: a rainforest shower which activated a heated towel rack; nightly desserts of French macaroons or Chinese delicacies set next to my nightstand; a massage chair; a whimsical light you "killed" with a gun; and so many more touches. It's clear the management has a fanatical zeal for making your stay the very best it can be.
