“Don't miss this. You can't do this at home.”
I wouldn't recommend trying to make a meal of this, but the array of weird food is amazing. Bring your camera. It's a state controlled food market so there is a certain amount of uniformity to the long line of vendors offering to deep fry a skewer of scorpions, spiders, silk worms, centipedes, starfish, seahorses, impressively large testicles, squid, all sorts of fruits, and of course beef, pork and chicken plus other things we couldn't readily identify. We ate the smaller scorpions and found them to be crunchy and salty. Not a lot of flavor but the pincers and feet tend to get stuck in your teeth. My young adult sons didn't think I would try it so I had to represent moms everywhere. You're welcome. It is quite a spectacle and somewhat touristy, but if you like novel experiences, this is a great one.
